I was delighted to find upon our early arrival the girl on the desk offered to look after our abundance of luggage and have it taken to our room. Also we asked for a later check-out on our last day and they were more than happy to oblige. The service in the restaurant was of a very professional nature and all of the staff were friendly. The only minor bad point I could state is that even though we had payed for a late check-out the cleaning staff still tried to enter our room twice.

Staying in January I got a double room for £64, which was then kindly upgraded free, without asking, to the honeymoon room. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were kind and helpful.

This an exceptionally clean and tidy family owned hotel I would definitely recommend it to absolutely anyone. Room 37 doesn't have a view but for an overnight that was ok and the standard of the room and ens far outweighed this.

Good central location; convenient free parking; I phoned ahead to ask about an early check in and this was done; very considerate staff. Would like a slightly later end to Breakfast (9.30 finish a little bit early on a leisure break)

Conveniency due to what I was in town for. Noisy. Too hot in room and heater wouldn't turn down and couldn't figure out air-con.

The room upgrade, bed was very comfortable. It seemed that the only way to get a hot shower was to have it turned on full. This gave a very good power shower, albeit the water went all over the place and it was too powerful for my wife. PS. I could have been missing something.

Location very good, and hotel room clean. Staff were friendly and offered to call taxi for us. Although there was a large party in the hotel, the rooms were effectively sound-proofed and it was quiet. No opening windows made the room stuffy, although there was air-con.

The location is excellent, handy for the National Arboretum that we were visiting during the day and really central to Lichfield for pubs & restaurants. The hotel was clean, staff friendly & efficient, and parking was free which nowadays is something of a treat! The temperature was good throughout the hotel too. The bed was comfy but very low and we had to run the taps for what seemed like an eternity to get hot water - but our room was at the very end of the corridor so that could be why.

The location was excellent. The hotel clean and inviting and the bedroom a good size. The duvet on the bed was feather filled rather than a cheap filling which is the usual practice. The bathroom layout was poor. The courtyard area where the room overlooked was noisy with other guests up unitil the smalll hours of the morning.

The location was excellent. Car parking facilities were very convenient. Room was very hot and the heater would not turn off - slept with air conditioning unit running all night. Bed was too small for two adults and also extremely uncomfortable, offering no support! Both my wife and I were awake most of the night, which subsequently spoilt the following day!! Very noisy 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang' function on until midnight!!

Some of the staff - most notably those on reception - were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. It is centrally located in the pretty (and tiny!) city of Lichfield. The room was pretty nice and was certainly comfortable. Bar staff a bit unfriendly. Couldn't open the windows in our room 'for safety reasons'. Slightly overpriced.

Good location and parking, staff friendly and helpful Desoite turing the heater off the room was stifelling even with the window open which meant we subjected to all the revellers noise at night into the morning. The second night had to use the ac to cool it down. The bed was most uncomfortable as were the pillows and after a 4 night stay was glad to leave to go and have a good nights sleep.

It was quite a relaxed environment and all our needs were catered for. I think the Breakfast & Carvery served in the Restaurant was excellent value for money and the staff were both friendly and attentive....I Would certainly stay there again and recommend the hotel to friends. Although it is right in the heart of the town and also has function rooms noise was not an issue...The hotel on approaching Litchfield is well signposted, there is plenty of parking both in the hotel car park and in the adjacent public car park. Bedrooms which are very clean and well fitted are beginning to look a little tired otherwise everything positive.
