The Gladstone is a family owned & managed freehouse which we purchased some 8 years ago. In 2006 & 2012 we underwent major refurbishments to include a new bar & restaurant & the redesigning of the guest bedrooms. We are proud to have achieved a 4-star rating with both the AA & Visit Wales. We are situated in an area of outstanding beauty and command stunning views of Conwy Bay & out towards Anglesey, the Menai Straits & Puffin Island.

The food in the pub was excellent. Nice views.
Broken curtain cord, broken shower rail, dirty carpet. TINY room.
The setting was lovely. Staff friendly and helpful, food good. Would recommend it
Steak night super food friendly staff Location
Towel rail needs fixing, bit of a shock when it came off wall. Would have been better to have a couple of easy chairs to sit on in room.
The restaurant and bar area were really nice. Lovely food.
Room 1 was very noisy at night with wind blowing a sign right outside the window. Live band was also on quite late on Saturday night.
Comfort of the room , friendliness of staff
Lack of choice on the menu..less chips more variety in the meals.
We stopped on a Saturday night in February in room 2 which is the luxury double with four-poster bed. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom and great views out to sea. The staff were lovely and the food, entertainment and company was great too. We will definitely return again.
Not major but at times in the early morning you can here staff who live above moving around.
Lovely staff amazing food outstanding service... Will be back again soon xx
Bed really comfy Breakfast great. View superb
I didn't think I saw the Gladstone at it's best . Because it is the winter they weren't fully open. The earliest I could have breakfast was 8 which was actually too late. On my last day I went without breakfast as I had too far to travel. Breakfast from 7 -9 would be better for workers.
Everything...super friendly staff, delicious food evening meal and breakfast, comfy bed and great room with a view...thanks
Bar closing at 7 but we had been told of this by email immediately after booking so this was fair enough and guess it is local licensing laws so out of their hands.
great staff live band brill food great we will be going back in the new year
Everything about The Gladstone was perfect, staff, food, atmosphere, Saturday night entertainment, location, views, ambience, would definitely book again and also recommend to friends and family
This Was our third visit to the Gladstone. Had the experience not been first class the first time, we most certainly would not have returned for a second, let alone a third visit. A very pleasant atmosphere and exeptionaly friendly and helpful staff made each stay arel pleasure.
Frendly and accommodating staff. Location. Clean rooms.
stayed for one night, the staff excellent on arrival, showed us straight to our room, really pleased, clean tidy and quite alot better than some we have stayed in, staff reserved us a table in the restaurant, food was excellent, steak to perfection and the pork to die for..really pleased with this little gem.
only issue was the shower, tricky to get the right tempreture, a seperate power shower instead of being run from the bath taps would be better..
it was too warm - not able to turn down the radiator
I enjoyed every moment at the gladstone hotel. No complaints whatsoever .
The room was very comfortable with a large flat screen t.v and although the a55 and the railway track were obviously there it didn't take anything away from the view of the great orm, puffin island, Anglesey and of course the beach and the sea
The pillows weren't to my liking but quickly sorted
Very well located for Conwy Friendly service Good beer Good food especially puddings
Heating didn't come on but then it wasn't cold.
The room was nice and the bathroom a really good size.
Beer choice good good band on
Bed extremly uncomfortable windows open room full of flies
Friendly staff, excellent food, great entertainment on Saturday night we stayed and lovely room with sea view and the female manager was a joy and could not have been more helpful
Food was a little expensive but saying that it was excellent and would recommend the fish and chips and also the steak pie was the best i have ever had
The hotel was very nice and had lovely water views. The modern bathroom was the best we had on our entire 2 week trip. The full breakfast was wonderful.
The internet service only was available in the lobby.
Helpful staff, good food very relaxing atmosphere.
Live band till 1am and had not been pre warned. Rather loud.
great staff Great location Good fayre
Efficiency of staff when we asked for a meal and early breakfast (served on a tray outside our room). Food was nicely cooked and the red house wine was excellent.
Not a particularly warm welcome. Breakfast served at quite a late time of 0830 hrs - most guests prefer earlier I believe, whether on business or holiday. Thought evening food expensive, though it was tasty. Photograph on booking.com makes the hotel look as though it is right by the water, which it is not.
