food and drink was a little pricey.
Great location . Very comfortable bed with good choice for breakfast Excellent bathroom facilities. Beer selection was very good & excellent quality. We enjoyed Wednesday evening quiz.
Wouldn't change a thing.
Clean and comfy rooms, full breakfast included. Restaurant was very good. Staff was attentive and friendly. Good location, with sea view. Short drive to Conwy and Llududno.
The staff were excellent and breakfast was good.
Although generally very clean the toilet hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests. Not a big issue and I'm sure if we'd said anything it would have been sorted quickly as the staff were very good.
Way above and beyond all our expectations. Stunning location, wonderful food and staff. We loved every minute and will definitely be back. Thank you for making our break so special
Location, the room with a view, staff & great value
Room clean and well maintained. Bed comfortable and I slept soundly. Nice touches like fresh milk available from the fridge in the hallway. Hot chocolate for my good lady wife and great view to the sea (bar the A55).
Lights were too dark in the bathroom (room 2). Band downstairs were loud when we got back in from a wedding that night but it wrapped up around midnight. Might not be everyone's bag but I wasn't too bothered as it was quiet after that.
The music The food The kindness of the people The beautiful place C.
Good food, including Gluten Free choices- very important to my coeliac husband. We booked a deluxe double room which was comfortable and clean. Friendly staff, who were refreshingly 'gluten aware'.
I've been to the Gladstone before but only in the pub and I love its location, food and ale selection. The rooms look clean, modern and nicely decorated. We had a room with full sea view and we very much enjoyed that view. The location is quite good if you want to drive around in Wales as it's easy to just jump onto A55. The food in the pub is very good and if you stay there on a Thursday you should definitely go for the Steak night as their stake is excellent!
As much as I was looking forward to staying there, certain things disappointed or even annoyed me. While the room was very nice the bathroom needed some fixing: the wall shower fixture was flimsy; the water temperature was so variable that it made the shower unusable unless you left the shower head into the wall fixture; the ceiling light was so 'atmospheric' that you could barely see anything. While there is a notice online about the noise from the music on Saturday, there is nothing about having floorboard noise from upstairs till about 2am! The live music noise on Saturday was much worse than we expected and no wonder as they put the band and the speakers right under our room! So, there was much more noise than we expected as we had: music, vibration, people yelling and clapping from 9:30pm till about 12:10am. That might be fine if you plan on going and joining the crowd but if you don't it's good to be aware. I don't understand why the owners cannot be a bit more considerate of the people staying there and just place the band in the other room! It would make a lot of difference. As for the breakfast, the non-cooked selection was a bit basic and the cooked breakfast took a bit too long. Also, poached eggs should be runny not hard. And when people ask for toast, would be nice to not have to wait another 10min to get that. Other unusual points for a B&B, as other people already mentioned, were the late breakfast times (from 8:30 during the week and 9 during weekend) as well as the alarm system that was supposed to be on from 12am till 8:30am. The truth is that, overall, we did not feel as being in a welcoming B&B but more in the accommodation attached to the pub. I still do like the pub a lot but I am not sure we'll be staying there again.
The room, food, and hotel staff were excellent, I would certainly recommend it and will definitely be going again.
Views Food Friendly and helpful staff Comfortable bed
No phone or wifi in room just public area
The friendly and helpful staff. The location and the views. The food.
Coming home. (A joke.)
Sea view room is excellent!
Gorgeous rooms, great location, great food and drink and lovely friendly staff. I am looking forward to visiting again
The beautiful beach you can see close by is a long walk to get over the A55 and train line. Normally wouldn't be a problem but we had walked Snowdon during the day of our stay
Very helpful staff. A nice garden to sit and have a drink in with great views over Conwy Bay. Room had both sea and mountain view.
Excellent food and staff delightful, couldn't do enough for us.
The room was comfortable but a bit small.
Staff were great and really helpful. Room lovely.
Live bands on a sat and sun night under your room
