Very friendy atmosphere from locals and staff alike. Food and beer was excellent, service was second to none, best breakfast I have had in a hotel all year - loved my stay.
Parental controls on the wifi meant even some mild adult oriented sites(not 18+ type sites) couldn't be accessed.
Everything...food,beer,rooms,staff...we were made so welcome from moment we got there...can't wait too go again ..this time I will take my wife for a break...but we will be back again anyway...thanks too all at globe
Headache after great nite and beer
Very friendly owners. Lovely room. Really nice little village. Decent breakfast and wifi was a really plus point as phone signal is touch and go in places like this! We were down from the Midlands for a wedding and luckily they wernt fully booked the day before so they allowed us to check in early to get ready which really helped us out! Oh and really great powerful shower!
Was a bit noisy until about 10.30pm but as its a pub that's to be expected!
The staff were great, the bedroom and bathroom were both very clean, there was a live act in the bar which was great, enjoyed our stay. Wifi is poor around the hotel, if there on business could have been a problem.
Everything about it !
Reception was very friendly, made to feel at home immediantly. Staff, food, and comfort excellent.
Mentioned we had come to hear the band but realised our dining table was right under their speaker!! No problem - landlady knew 4 of her regulars would be vacating their table shortly so we had that table and enjoyed a lovely meal
everything, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the quality of the food and service.nothing was too much trouble.in fact our stay at the Globe was perfect,
Check in a complete faff Had crazy landlady banging on our doors at 10.15 telling us to check out, we were a wedding party getting ready!!!
Friendly welcome which was continued by all the staff. Clean room with comfortable beds and all necessary facilities. Excellent food for evening meal and breakfast. Sensible prices.
Lovely room friendly family staff. Food excellent. Locals very friendly and helpful.
Towels not changed on last day.
The room was cosy and comfortable, .dinner was superb and breakfast out of this world. Would definitely stay there again I would give it 5 stars.
The people who ran it and the staff
We liked the friendly staff. The food was brilliant - especially the Vegemite!!- we felt at home straight away. We would certainly stay again. Handy for the painting course in the village hall and would like to travel the bus route to Dartmouth next time
Only think I might change is carpet in the bathroom. And gavingvthevlight switch neared to the bathroom. A bit bright and woke me every time my husband got up during the night to go to the loo.
Very friendly & helpful staff. Good food especially the steak & ale pie! Great location.
Clean.Friendly staff, lovely location, the Globe itself great place to eat and drink.
A little road noise, but that didn't stop me sleeping.
Clean and spacious, comfortable bed. Everything was in good repair and worked just as it should.
Lovely pub, excellent food and friendly, efficient staff
The road outside is surprisingly noisy. This was only a problem because the weather was hot and I had to open the windows. With the windows shut the noise was minimal.
Clean room, comfy bed, decent beer and food!
Friendly staff, excellent rooms, very good food, great real ale, all-in-all excellent value for money.
Lack of a bus service on Sundays.
Great value and a wonderful location for exploring this part of Devon. Staff was very efficient and helpful.
Friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms, good food, excellent real ales. I have stayed in the Globe Inn a few times now while travelling for work in this area, every time I stay it is a most enjoyable experience. I always look forward to going back.
Clean comfortable room. Excellent breakfast, several choices from full English to salmon & scrambled eggs. Evening meal in bar/ restaurant - extensive menu reasonable prices. Food excellent.
Stayed here twice now and each time felt room was quite small with tiny wardrobe. Adequate drawer space although all small units. Some rooms are much larger ( our friends struck lucky). Felt that rooms should be priced differently depending on size. £85 for a small room is rather expensive, especially as it is not a hotel but a pub.
The location was beautiful. Staff were very friendly. Lovely food, apart from the sausages at breakfast which were not to our taste. Evening meals were very good. Would stay again but not for a special occasion.
The sausages which I have already mentioned. Would have preferred to sit in the dining room for our evening meal and not the bar areas, especially as one evening was our anniversary.
Rooms very clean and beds comfortable .
Limited choice of food . No changes during a four day stay .Towels not changed until requested .
