Spacious, friendly, good food and nice location.
Room was a bit cold at night - needed to use the supplied electric heater for a short while.
The hotel was friendly and comfortable with good facilities but the costs were steep and did not include breakfast. The restaurant did good food but again the prices were very high for the area.
The globe is cosey , friendly place to stay. Open fires and very comfortable bedrooms. Nice to be in topsham yet only 15 minutes from exeter
Parking is bit difficult...the weather was awful !
Lovely spacious room, very clean. Room was warm & cozy. Nice to be able to relax by the cozy log fire downstairs too on a cold night!
Beautiful, comfortable room & bed. Nicely refurbished.
Lighting not good for doing make up in the morning. A detachable shower head would be useful.
All round great value for money!!! Friendly staff with a nice bar and good restaurant. Some other nice local pubs too..
The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and modern and everything worked, the hotel and pub had a very nice laid-back atmosphere and superb St Austell Tribute beer, and the bar-food and breakfast were great.
Staff and restaurant really good. Great evening meal and breakfast. Hotel has a great feel about it. Would certainly return. Topsham is a great place to stay rather than in Exeter itself
Our courtyard room was a "touch chilly" and consequently sheets felt really cold. Did notice when leaving next morning that clean sheets were left outside each room waiting to be fitted, and as it was a damp day could explain the coldness of the sheets
The atmosphere at the hotel was delightful, staff charming. We would definitely return.
Quality of rooms in main building Great atmosphere in the bar Excellent showers
Storage heaters in the bedroom make heat control haphazard
Staff were superb!
Cold room couldn't sleep. Was told should have asked for a blanket. Should have been one in the room not going to look for a member of staff at two in the morning.
Rooms have a modern country feel. Well furnished and cosy. Food is fantastic!
Parking is very limited and tricky.
We had a family reason for visiting East Devon and choose Topsham as our base. We liked the modern facilities, given a traditional look in the en-suite bedrooms. The food was very good, excellent choice and well prepared, both dinner and breakfast. The atmosphere in the bar is welcoming, with a real fire and a great place to relax. Topsham has some interesting shops- good for gifts. The buildings are also worth a look.
There was a party taking place in the village and some guests stayed at the Globe, their noisy return and continuing the party in their room, was disturbing. Though how the Hotel could have known about this I am not sure.
I thought the room was very good and well laid out. The breakfast was excellent and there was lots of it ! The staff were courteous and very helpful, and quickly sorted out a couple of problems we had with the room. We also enjoyed the fish and chips dinner in the evening.
Parking, an absolute nightmare. We had to park in the local (Holman Way) car park, which also was filled to capacity. We had some noisy neighbours who decided to screech and shout at 2 in the morning. I would have preferred the breakfast to be part of the room rate, and not as an added extra.
Great location, fantastic walks. Nice room with comfortable bed. Superb shower and excellent St Austell beers.
Slightly noisey if there is a function going on in the function room.
The welcome and service offered by the assistant manager especially in the restaurant was excellent. Very comfortable room. Interesting town to wander around.
Very limited parking, so need to time arrival with this in mind.
Food good room very nice. Ideal location.
Noise from above room very noisey Boards ,was woken very early in the mornings.
Nice helpfull staff in a very pleasant location. Clean room and modern bathroom.daughter enjoyed her meal in the evening (steak) nice reasonable priced wine.
Room was quite dark.Thin walls very awear of of our neighbouring guests. Hate to say this but felt it was overpriced for what was on offer especially as breakfast not included
The Globe is central to the town, a most convenient place from which to explore, and charming in its own right.
Great Staff, excellent food.
Room 2 slightly noisy as above bar.
good food, friendly staff, excellent location, wished we lived closer to make this our local.......
Staff very helpful and attentive.
Very strong aroma in room when we arrived. Had to open window wide all night. Could be from room being recently redecorated or timber being treated.
The double parking as I was blocked in and your guest took her time to move her car
lovely town, full of interesting shops and restaurants.nice quay side with antique centre.Hotel very nice, We stayed in main building over looking the Main Street ...lots to watch. Lovely fluffy towels.Good food.
Room was very very hot during the night and pillows hard
The bar with the fireplace, very nice. The receptionist. The restaurant.
The room wasn't anything special, but ok.
