Excellent, accommodating staff.
Way too far from the Hadrian's Wall path - probably 3 miles or so.
Huge bedroom, friendly staff and fabulous food at dinner and breakfast.
Warm welcome, early check in as we were going to a wedding, cosy bar, comfortable bed, comprehensive delicious breakfast
Excellent food, ambience, staff. Quiet, comfy bed.
Not the cheapest but thats up to each person to decide.
Excellent location after touring Hadrian's Wall all day. Staff was warm and welcoming. Charming country inn with clean basic rooms and a lovely restaurant.
cleanliness atmosphere very friendly staff location great food
Very friendly, helpful staff, consideration for a frail elderly person, comfortable room, quirky numbering! Radio. Beautiful tasty food. Good location to explore the area.
Evening meal/breakfast was very good. Room was nicely appointed and clean, very good large head shower in quite small bathroom. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Good semi-rural location for visiting Hadrians Wall features and surrounding area
Lighting in bedroom a little dim. Traffic passing at speed could be noisy, need to keep window shut, but obviously nothing the pub could do anything about.
The room was spacious. The large bed, comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast was continental with ample provisions. I would stay there again.
Attention to detail Good food helpful staff
Great location, awesome food and fantastic service.
Décor Friendly Service Inviting and Homely Delicious Food Quiet Location Highly Recommended
Friendliness of staff Good breakfast Good Cumbrian pub and welcome
Helpful, pleasant staff. Comfortable rooms. Food excellent
Breakfast was a let down, cumbrian breakfast it was not, microwaved sausages that despite asking for well done still came out looking like they were not cooked. Eggs over done! Which was a shame as the food in the evening was brilliant the breakfast just didn't match up in service or quality! Would like king size bed option, our room was definitely large enough to take it. I rang in advance to book tables for evening meal they said wasn't necessary but in reality they then didn't have the time slot we wanted so we should of just booked ahead as I originally intended!
Quiet location in the countryside. Comfortable room with good tea making facilities and Wi-Fi. Comfortable large bed. Very clean and tidy with good décor throughout. Food was excellent, hot and tasty. I had a sirloin steak which was very nice.
Slightly small ensuit. Location a little remote.
Food, rooms & beer garden.
Bit of traffic noise from nearby road.
Lovely gardens, room was tasteful, clean and comfortable, breakfast was lovely. Staff are friendly and helpful. A little costly, but the location made it worthwhile - great for exploring Hadrian's Wall.
Room was excellent (nice big bed) and well priced. Staff were very helpful & the food was good.
Wi-fi signal mixed throughout and needs to be boosted in strength.
Everything was to like about the Golden Fleece. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The meals were excellent as was the beer. The rooms were a good size and very clean.
Friendly staff. Restaurant meals very good in the evening. Good choice of fresh fruit at breakfast.
Breakfast continental breakfast limited with only croissants and no fresh bread rolls. We were expecting continental breakfast but this did not include any cold meats or cheese. Yogurt only available on the second morning. Hot weather but milk in the room for tea and coffee was available in a jug. Was not replenished on the second day. Some maintenance work carried out in the bathroom. We were not advised what was wrong but area behind the toilet was removed leaving a pile of wood and rubbish. Room/bathroom not cleaned.
Clean , comfortable & attractively furnished throughout. Staff friendly and efficient, What's more they serve the best bread & butter pudding you could wish for! A truly excellent place. .
Staff friendly. Breakfast cooked fresh and was excellent. Comfortable beds. Very pleasant feeling.
The staff the food the atmosphere

Had to request tea & coffee facilities in bedroom to be replenished. Done immediately
