Situation suits us with car parking. We like the size of the family quad rooms. Everything very clean and comfortable.

Perhaps stewed fruit or fruit salad could be included in the continental breakfast.

A dog-friendly hotel! It was nice to be able to take the dog with us into the dining rooms for dinner and breakfast. A very comfortable, homely hotel at a reasonable rate.

Due to the weather the room was extremely stuffy even with the windows open.

This is a lovely hotel sympathetically decorated to its age and character, along with creaking floorboards, excellent value for money with very friendly staff in an excellent location it's hard to beat if you want a good base in Yorkshire. We will return

If I had to be picky TV could be bigger and more modern and I would have beans for breakfast instead of black pudding but these did not affect our enjoyment

Everything except the stairs.Great staff, tasty food, easy parking, comfortable beds, can't be beat.

All the rooms are up narrow, steep stairs. My wife is underwhelmed with steep, narrow stairs but this is an historic coaching inn.

charmingly decorated coaching inn. Very pleasant and helpful staff. excellent breakfast and evening meals. Friendly locals in the bar. Good central location in the town.Large dining room with plenty of space between tables. Would certainly stay here again.

Shower in rooms 9 and 10 had very little pressure so showering took longer. Mattress was a little soft in places, maybe time to update.

Restaurant and bar were fantastic although a little pricey. Staff were attentive and friendly Central location with free parking

Rooms were a little tired and dated We were in a room on the top floor with a young baby and buggy with no lift and an extremely narrow flight of stairs however we were helped with out with our luggage by the staff
