The Golden Lion Inn  

myself and my wife were very impressed with the golden lion inn ,i think it,s the first time ever we have been so impressed we have no moans.it,s one of the best w/e breaks we have ever had ,the staff could not do enough for us ,the food was delicious ,the rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable , and last but not least they serve a very good pint of Guinness .

Excellent breakfast and dinner too. Very friendly chef who checked we were happy which I appreciate. Surrounding areas are perfect for coastal walks. Plenty of excellent pubs and restaurants nearby though the Golden Lion has its own very lively bar. Room 12 is small but very quiet as promised. Coming back soon!!

The Hotel was high quality and there was a great atmosphere all weekend. Staff were helpfull and offered good advice re local area.

It was difficult to book the resteraunt but the food was first class, breakfast and dinner were as good as it gets..

The very elegant newly redesigned rooms with an emphasis on local materials. The warm and friendly welcome. Not to forget a delicious breakfast!

First class accommodation and the atmosphere of a local pub.

Food good but more variety needed and more basic choice.

Well-appointed bedroom and dining room.

On the whole the food was good, but the Preseli lamb chops were gristly.

The family room was exceptional with two bedrooms which allowed us to put children to bed without having to go to bed ourselves at the same time. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Staff were lovely and happy to warm milk. It is conveniently 10-15 minutes from Fishguard port and had a couple of nice beaches to occupy the children before our ferry. We also returned on our way back to have lunch and were treated to fabulous gourmet delights....such as the Gormet Welsh Burger which they also do for children and were happy to add cheese for my child. Dessert was also lovely with a large selection. We will definitely stay here again, in fact our children will insist on it now!

We live locally but had relatives staying from away so we joined them for the evening and overnight stay. Staff are always very polite and friendly, great atmosphere, excellent food and service, rooms beautiful and clean, impressive restaurant, all round a fantastic pub.

Upon arrival the television did'nt work in our room .Moved to another room with better spec(ie.bath,king size bed etc)Would have been nice to have been offered this room initially!

There was nothing that i disliked. The staff were extremly helpul, service efficient and friendly. Accomadaton warm clean and welcoming. Restaurant extremly well cooked and presented food. It was a wonderful stay.

Friendly well run hotel. Room good and breakfast excellent. Did not eat any other meals but menu looked interesting.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was warm and comfortable. The dining room was pleasant with a good choice on the menu, with daily specials from a blackboard.

There was no lounge area for residents, and since the bar tended to get very full, it was not at all pleasant. We were left with nowhere to go, apart from the tiny hall area, other than back to our room. We would have liked to have seen and heard more Welsh around the hotel.

Great Atmosphere in the Pub/Restaurant, owned by two dedicated and hard working owners, who know how to make the place click. Food in Restaurant was first class, as was the room!
