The food was disgusting and when we complained and said it was un edible they just said ok. Staff attitude was awful!!!
place ,hotel good area in the day time
the place is full of pubs with drunken yobs what a shame as I did really like the place
Exceptional staff friendly and went the extra mile
couldn't find anything to dislike
all in the main very good. Food very good.
rear bar area - like a 'canteen'
Staff and food excellent. Nice décor with a fresh modern feel and very relaxing. Nice view of harbour from room. Very pleasantly surprised by Maryport, a beautiful little seaside harbour town with lots of interesting attractions.
Bedroom a bit on the small side for the price and far too hot to sleep comfortably but opening the window meant quite a bit of noise from outside.
the entrance made you feel you had made the right choice .staff were very helpfull.rooms were very clean and equiped well..the bar was really nice and so was the dining area.good breakfast. thankyou
being too warm ,but it is summer.it didnt spoil anything though.
After I had booked in and unpacked I found that I had left my wallet and cards at home. When I asked the man in reception if he needed to see my card as I explained I had left them at home. He said no bother I check if we have your card details and once he had checked the hotel had my card details he said no problem just use your room number tonight and we will charge it to your card. I thanked him and felt content that I was in a very good trusting hotel. This was my first stay here but it defiantly will be my preferred hotel next time I am in Maryport.
There was nothing I could fault.
The location of the hotel was nice and close to the sea. Free parking available.
The family room with 4 beds was supposed to have sea views, but had none - the hotel promised to update the information. It was very hot in the room and the windows could only be partially opened.
Very friendly welcome and excellent staff; good position with a sea view from our room. Good food in the evening and plenty of it. Seemed to be the best place in this little town. Decent value. it's an easy drive into the national park and the town is not at all a tourist trap like Keswick or Windermere.
Nothing to complain about. The wine list could be more exciting but that's about it. The weather was terrible but the hotel was not to blame for that!!
Good choice at the bar. Breakfast was freshly cooked
Unable to open windows and warm in the rooms
Staff friendly and helpful. Food excellent
Noisy people at local pubs nearby. No lift for disabled to get upstairs
location and view from room
poor breakfast -selection and quality; no internal lock on doors and external locks very flimsy.
Late check-in. Clean and nice staff.
A typical old style seaside hotel. Mattress and bed sheets would benefit from renewal.
Great room, great view,
Great hotel, excellent facilities very helpful staff... best breakfast I have had in a long while and good value for money.
The local seagulls wake up very early and are very noisy.
Staff very friendly and accommodating - Paul arranged to have a meal prepared for me for when I arrived late - after the restaurant was shut. The choice of beer was very good!
The desk in my room was very small and difficult to work on. There wasn't a power socket nearby for my computer, so could only work on battery - but this is a minor point really.
Beautifully renovated inside and out. Great dining and bar
Everything you would require , short walk to shops and seafront , plenty bars and restaurants to choose from close by
I liked everything about this hotel this is the second stay here and loved it food, staff, comfy room, location. Would recommend.
The only thing I think that should be looked at is a better style of heating system.
view and p;osition
breakfast average and wifi poor reception
bathroom was good, staff were polite, price was reasonable
the hotel is next door to a bar which on certain evenings becomes a nightclub. The room I stayed in was right next to the club and as such I was unable to sleep and had to be moved rooms. The concierge was helpful and understanding but given that the disturbances from the nightclub are a frequent occurrence I do not think it is appropriate for the hotel to put guests in any adjoining rooms whilst the nightclub remains.
Staff where very friendly and helpful.
Food took a very long time to come ordered around 19:10 as had daughter of 5 years old but only arrived an hour later. Otherwise all was good
