Stayed here with one of my friends whilst attending a reunion in Middlewich. Our room was spacious (a double and a single bed) - shower fab - bar staff great (nothing was too much trouble for her). Very quirky - had to go outside to the Burger van to collect our breakfast (which was absolutely delicious I have to add - and served with a huge smile). you can then go back inside to eat - but as it was quite nice - we sat outside on the benches. Would definitely recommend.
Comfy Big Bed, Friendly Helpful Staff, Would Stay Again
Pillows and bed were comfy. Girl on duty was nice and helpful. Pub downstairs if you want a drink. Plenty of parking.
Two parts to the hotel (which is part of a pub) Accommodation above pub and some in a house across the road. We were across the road. Some traffic noise. Room was very basic. No toiletries supplied. Tea/coffee in prefilled paper cups.
Proximity to M6. Secluded parking. Tetley beer was good !
Not a traditional pub/b&b - Everything else - Arrived latish to be advised No food, and no food or drink in rooms - churlish to ban take away in rooms if no food provided in pub. I accept there was an offer to plate anything up and to be eaten in the pub. Same goes for breakfast - option is to eat from take away cafe bar outside or in the pub Tea and coffee facilities provided, but unnecessarily complex. No TV controls made what little in room enternainment a pain.
Very nice room. Staff very nice.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very close to where I needed to be. The room was right up the top and not affected by the pub below. The room was modern and comfortable with an en-suite. Just right for me!
Not really a dislike but the traffic noise was a bit obtrusive early in the morning but the Pub is located close to several road junctions so it is to be expected on a normal working day.
Great host very helpful, good accommodation, great price
very noisey, from music and smokers outside the pub, plus traffic, but only stayed one night so still think was a bargain
Breakfast food and friendly staff. Bed was really comfortable. Big sized room.
Lack of a chair in the room or toiletries other than soap. Lovely breakfast but we had to wait for it to be cooked in a trailer in the car park and then walk indoors holding our plate!
The bar and the hotel in general
The bed was lumpy
Warm friendly welcome. Good access to all routes and town.
Friendly staff and locals. Comfortable beds. Rooms are very good and good value for money. Have been staying here on and off for over 3 years and cant find fault with anything.
Cant find anything to dislike.
Nice local pub, friendly staff and people. Bar doesnt seem to close. A+Would stay again.
Did not get offered breakfast.
Not a lot!
The loud music until after mid night. Sleeping next to the toilet because you hear everybody using it , very unpleasant. Make sure you don't book the fire escape bedroom
Love the friendly staff who went out of there way to get our rooms ready early. Rooms where very nice.
No restaurant or proper breakfast facility but a burger van outside. (Food looked good but not really what we where looking for) no food at all available in the pub itself.
Friendly, and helpful. Would stay again.
very surprised it was a lovely little cottage across the road, clean tidy and confortable
looking at the pub, it is not some were to stay. when booking in thought it was going to be above the pub
very near to the Sandhurst which was the reason for our visit
spiral staircase was a definite no no as both guests had limited mobility. no bath mat and a very slippery bath base.Totally detached from the pub across a very busy road
Lovely display of floral hanging baskets. Comfy bed and nice enough room with en-suite. Good village pub.
On main road with traffic noise.
Location and staff
The room was well equipped with a kettle, tea, coffee, en suite bathroom was nice and hot water all the time. Beds we nice a comfy and a nice big TV. Bargain for £29 a night!
There was free wifi but we couldn't seem to connect. The pub doesn't serve food after 4pm so you need to go out to eat. Our room was on a main road which made it a bit noisy during the night
It was cheap
Right on the junction of a busy road, shared bathroom had an interlink door with my room which, although locked, meant I heard EVERYTHING :(
Staff was excellent bed very comfortable and location great.
Cannot think of anything
Location, car parking, excellent value for money.
