Lots of road noise at night, hard to sleep; poor parking, not enough spaces, had to park on the street
Friendly staff Charming building Pizza excellent in the bar / restaurant Excellent musician in the evening
The manager was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect and the building is characterful with a nice atmosphere.
The bedroom was a bit tired and the mattress/bed base board was undulating and warped making it difficult to sleep. An easy and inexpensive fix - a comfy bed should be a given.
The room was a really nice surprise, up it's own little staircase at the back of the pub. It made it feel quite private and very little disturbance from the pub and street outside. The room was spacious with lovely old style decor to match the property and the town. Also loved the cooked breakfast, delicious! And the staff were all friendly and helpful.
I thought it was quite pricey but perhaps that was just the area we were staying in as other places we looked at were similarly priced.
Loved Burford so The Golden Pheasant was a great choice. Very comfortable room with everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent with great choice. Staff we're very friendly and made you feel very welcome.
Nothing - all very good so can find no faults.
Breakfast was delicious and parking is very handy
What a great hotel, fantastic surroundings, great large bedroom with four poster bed, great staff, very good food cant wait to go back
nothing not to like
Noise in either of the 2 rooms just metres from the busy road. Indifferent attitude to cleaning. Awful smell of bleach at breakfast whilst brown stains to light switches etc. sticky tables. On both mornings at breakfast. Shower cubicle disgusting brown silicone mess. Even has had paint applied over the tiles to attempt to cover the brown stains. The staff don't care, there are plenty of tourists to keep the place busy.
Very charming. Great breakfast. Impressive cleanliness.
good parking right on the high street great room will stay again
cant think of anything
location, staff, food, atmosphere, village, look and feel.
location and cleanliness and good breakfast.
flush on toilet needed adjusting!
Burford, the location, the hotel, the room (although a little on the small side), the breakfast, the sunny terrace, the price (when considering how expensive Burford is)
nothing much I didn't like, bed a bit hard for me but asked for a couple of duvets to lie on and problem sorted
Hotel and staff are lovely, best full english breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. Great stay.
Wifi only in public areas
We stayed in 4 poster bedroom,we thought it was very good. Nice big bath 2 sinks his and hers. Tea and coffee making facilities and flat screen TV. All in all very enjoyable. It was a night away for a birthday. Would we go back there? Yes
Car park is very small. Wifi is very very slow.
Very comfortable hotel but retains all of its historic charm.
Parking space is limited
This hotel was perfectly located for our purpose. We luckily had a back bedroom away from the road. It was clean staff very friendly and food was good.
Clean, nice decor, friendly staff, amazing cooked breakfast
The walls are very thin and we could hear the people next door talking arguing in the night, which meant we couldn't sleep well.
Noise of fans/refrigeration going throuout the night
Good location in a pretty village.
Comfortable bed. Lovely room. Great location. Excellent food. Friendly staff. Good facilities.
Wi-fi can't be accessed from bedrooms
Staff were very friendly especially on check in. Breakfast was very good!
Room was very hot. Plug socket to plug tv in and kettle was too far away and both my daughter and myself tripped over it coming out of the bathroom.
Good location, helpful staff and the car park makes things easier than trying to find a parking spot in Burford.
Shower lacked pressure and took a long time to get hot. However, that is only to be expected in a building of this age.
The management relocating us after a noisy first night, great food & service
Noisy front room, trucks should be banned from the high street especially after 11pm we felt the room shake many times.
Central in the town, lots of other dining and drinking options. Location, closest to where I needed to be and available at short notice.
Car parking a lottery, stable type accommodation overlooking a courtyard so no air, no view. Food average and breakfast service poor. No history as a inn despite outward appearances.
