Breakfast was delicious and parking is very handy
What a great hotel, fantastic surroundings, great large bedroom with four poster bed, great staff, very good food cant wait to go back
nothing not to like
Noise in either of the 2 rooms just metres from the busy road. Indifferent attitude to cleaning. Awful smell of bleach at breakfast whilst brown stains to light switches etc. sticky tables. On both mornings at breakfast. Shower cubicle disgusting brown silicone mess. Even has had paint applied over the tiles to attempt to cover the brown stains. The staff don't care, there are plenty of tourists to keep the place busy.
Very charming. Great breakfast. Impressive cleanliness.
good parking right on the high street great room will stay again
cant think of anything
location, staff, food, atmosphere, village, look and feel.
location and cleanliness and good breakfast.
flush on toilet needed adjusting!
Hotel and staff are lovely, best full english breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. Great stay.
Wifi only in public areas
We stayed in 4 poster bedroom,we thought it was very good. Nice big bath 2 sinks his and hers. Tea and coffee making facilities and flat screen TV. All in all very enjoyable. It was a night away for a birthday. Would we go back there? Yes
Car park is very small. Wifi is very very slow.
Very comfortable hotel but retains all of its historic charm.
Parking space is limited
This hotel was perfectly located for our purpose. We luckily had a back bedroom away from the road. It was clean staff very friendly and food was good.
Noise of fans/refrigeration going throuout the night
Good location in a pretty village.
Comfortable bed. Lovely room. Great location. Excellent food. Friendly staff. Good facilities.
Wi-fi can't be accessed from bedrooms
Staff were very friendly especially on check in. Breakfast was very good!
Room was very hot. Plug socket to plug tv in and kettle was too far away and both my daughter and myself tripped over it coming out of the bathroom.
Good location, helpful staff and the car park makes things easier than trying to find a parking spot in Burford.
Shower lacked pressure and took a long time to get hot. However, that is only to be expected in a building of this age.
The management relocating us after a noisy first night, great food & service
Noisy front room, trucks should be banned from the high street especially after 11pm we felt the room shake many times.
Central in the town, lots of other dining and drinking options. Location, closest to where I needed to be and available at short notice.
Car parking a lottery, stable type accommodation overlooking a courtyard so no air, no view. Food average and breakfast service poor. No history as a inn despite outward appearances.
Amazing value! Huge room (we stayed ib the room called Bunting) Great location Nice staff 4 poster bed
The mattress was a bit lumpy.
Very friendly staff, good service. The food was lovely and well presented, we ate in the enclosed courtyard which was charming. The hotel itself is old with fabulous fireplace, can imagine sipping a mulled wine in front of the fire here.
Disliked being able to park onsite, only space available was on the other side of the road. The room itself was comfortable with modern tv, the en suite was tiny but had everything we needed. Only downside was that the room was at the front so quite noisy from 5am!!
Grouting in shower was black in places and there were broken tiles also in shower
Charming bar area Good comfortable room Pleasant staff
Poor Wi-Fi connection - patch
The whole hotel completly fitted in to the aura of the village. The four poster bedroom we stayed in was beautiful and transformed you back into 18th century.
Unfortunately in the morning there was no running water in our bedroom.
The hotel is well situated in Burford High Street. Our room was absolutely beautiful and very spacious. We had a four poster bed and large bathroom with his and her sinks. All the facilities would not have been out of place in a 4 - 5 star hotel. We will be staying here again!!
The parking was a bit tricky - we had to move the car twice. It was worth a little walk to stay in such a lovely hotel.
Fantastic location,great value,friendly staff.
Breakfast was only average, weak coffee and undercooked sausages.Lack of hot water on top floor rooms
