    Nothing

Noise in either of the 2 rooms just metres from the busy road. Indifferent attitude to cleaning. Awful smell of bleach at breakfast whilst brown stains to light switches etc. sticky tables. On both mornings at breakfast. Shower cubicle disgusting brown silicone mess. Even has had paint applied over the tiles to attempt to cover the brown stains. The staff don't care, there are plenty of tourists to keep the place busy.

We stayed in 4 poster bedroom,we thought it was very good. Nice big bath 2 sinks his and hers. Tea and coffee making facilities and flat screen TV. All in all very enjoyable. It was a night away for a birthday. Would we go back there? Yes

Car park is very small. Wifi is very very slow.

Staff were very friendly especially on check in. Breakfast was very good!

Room was very hot. Plug socket to plug tv in and kettle was too far away and both my daughter and myself tripped over it coming out of the bathroom.

The management relocating us after a noisy first night, great food & service

Noisy front room, trucks should be banned from the high street especially after 11pm we felt the room shake many times.

Central in the town, lots of other dining and drinking options. Location, closest to where I needed to be and available at short notice.

Car parking a lottery, stable type accommodation overlooking a courtyard so no air, no view. Food average and breakfast service poor. No history as a inn despite outward appearances.

Very friendly staff, good service. The food was lovely and well presented, we ate in the enclosed courtyard which was charming. The hotel itself is old with fabulous fireplace, can imagine sipping a mulled wine in front of the fire here.

Disliked being able to park onsite, only space available was on the other side of the road. The room itself was comfortable with modern tv, the en suite was tiny but had everything we needed. Only downside was that the room was at the front so quite noisy from 5am!!

The whole hotel completly fitted in to the aura of the village. The four poster bedroom we stayed in was beautiful and transformed you back into 18th century.

Unfortunately in the morning there was no running water in our bedroom.

The hotel is well situated in Burford High Street. Our room was absolutely beautiful and very spacious. We had a four poster bed and large bathroom with his and her sinks. All the facilities would not have been out of place in a 4 - 5 star hotel. We will be staying here again!!

The parking was a bit tricky - we had to move the car twice. It was worth a little walk to stay in such a lovely hotel.

The hotel situates in a beautiful area, the staff we're friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious.

We stayed in the attic room which was really warm there was no air con we was provided with the smallest fan which wasn't much use.The hit taps in the sink didn't work and there wasn't a chain attached to the bath plug which made it extremely difficult to get out.

Location, food good, helpful and pleasant staff

Nice bathroom, shame about the water pressure and non variance on temperature, missing light bulb in shower area and non-working extractor fan in bathroom. Electrical testing well out of date( last tested August 11, due Aug 12, NOW July 14) Extension lead to kettle is dangerous, as the weight of the lead pulled kettle over on floor - luckily it was not boiling at time and we did not have a small child with us. It was unbearably hot in our room over the kitchen, with our window open we were in view of the diners in the court yard. A supply of fans would have been appreciated. The window openers in the corridor outside the room have been painted over, so we could not open those windows to improve any air circulation for our comfort. Directions to your parking area would have been helpful in advance. On top of this to be asked to pay in full before we were even shown to our room was the first insult! Your detailed reasons and apologies for all these areas of important concern , especially, for future guests will be expected by return.

    The Location

We were charged more for the Monday night, as we booked direct with the Hotel and not through booking.com, we was not told this when booking. We stayed in the car park rooms, with broken wooden doors and plastic bath. Breakfast was very disorganized and very limited
