Location in the main street in burford was excellent. A pleasant town for a relaxing day or so. Breakfast was below average. No fruit or marmelade was offered but the cooked items were O.K.. car parking was extremely tight but just adequate |

The staff were very friendly and helpful; the location was very good; the price was right; the evening meals were tasty and varied and acceptably priced. Maybe because of the economic climate the hotel looked tired and in need of tlc; no hot water in our room - not good in Autumn; the ground floor carpets needed cleaning. |

The hotel was in a the centre of Burford, which is exactly what we wanted. A very homely hotel and good to have parking at the hotel itself. Nothing we didn't like! |

Staff were friendly and helpful. Comfortable and cosy public areas. Good breakfast but not much for the vegetarian ie. a standard English without the meat - one fried egg, mushrooms and beans. The bedrooms at the front are noisy because of the main road and lorries climbing up the hill in the early hours. Not helped by poor secondary glazing. Bedroom was fine if a bit gloomy but shower was very sad and needed a complete re-fit |

The breakfast was lovely. There was a lot of confusion on check in and people were given the wrong keys. When we returned to the hotel at night there was an awful stench coming from the bathroom - a sewer smell. the shower looked scummy, the room was tired and in need of a revamp. We wish we had stayed in the travel lodge down the road, at least we would know what we are getting and would be happy to pay. We were unhappy with having to pay £79 for our stay. The only good point was the breakfast was lovely. |

Very friendly staff, good reasonably priced food and we were offered our first drink free with our evening meal. We were allowed to check in ahead of our 'check-in' time as our room was ready. Breakfast was well-cooked and tasty and the hotel had parking which was very useful in the center of Burford where parking can be difficult. Real ales, great local cider and good wine. Room housekeeping was a little erratic and we stayed for three nights - although staff were quick to help when we asked - for example no spare loo roll in bathroom, milk not replaced with tea/coffee making facilities - used towels not replaced. This was a shame as the staff were all most welcoming and, with a little more attention to detail everything could be excellent. We would have told the manager this directly but we were check out by one of the junior staff. |

Lovely, Lovely, Lovely - place, hotel & staff. Good value for money Perhaps more choice of 'upmarket' dishes on the menu. Car park was full - only a minor irritation |

The Staff were very friendly and approachable The standard of cleanliness-- the shower grouting needs attention and where the toilet had been adjusted there was no tiling. the windows in the room are cracked. and for us the noise from the traffic and customers outside made sleep difficult. But we chose it !! |
