The Goring  

I have stayed at the Goring many times. I was quite disappointed this time and will probably not stay again. The staff and the food were as usual excellent but the room did not seem extra larlge to me and the small window let in a terrible draught that made it so I had to put my coat on and we had to have the blinds drawn to try to curb it. Also why no tea and coffee facilities that is disgraceful in a room that expensive and the bed it was so hard they could have used it for torture. All in all not a good stay such a pity as the staff are excellent

Have been staying at the Goring for over 20 years. Plain & simple, it's the nicest hotel I've ever stayed. (I've been on the road on average a week a month for the past 30 plus years) My hands down favorite hotel.

Slow in delivering messages sometimes

The courtesy and appropriate friendliness of the staff. Disappointed not to have a sheep in the room!

I wish it was slightly less expensive so I could come more often

The room was beautiful and bed very comfortable. I also liked the lamb in the room.

When checking in I was taken to the launge to sit all alone and wait for 15 minutes without telling me why. That was strange, since I've been in the hotel before and this did't happen earlier. Also last time I had a hand written welcome card in my room with some strawberries to be dipped in chocolate, this time nothing. I felt as I was a returning customer, they didn't have to put that much effort any more. Also the brush in the toilet was broken.

It was the ultimate in professional customer service by all members of staff which made our stay something very special and memorable. The bedroom and en-suite bathroom were very comfortable whilst the decor and furnishing were of the highest quality and elegance. It was without doubt the best hotel we have used for accommodation during the last 45 years.

Small, charming hotel. Quaint atmosphere.

The staff in the bar area of the hotel and the lounge are very slow, very poor service and attention.

The most relaxing and pleasant atmosphere.

The location of this hotel is very convenient for the sightseeng, walking round the city center. The inner garden is cosy and beautiful. Breakfasts are good and tasty. Nice furnishings.

When paying for dinner in the restaurant account was overstated at 90 pounds. The account was reduced but nobody apologized. When we check out from the hotel breakfasts were included in a higher price category (Full English breakfast instead of Continental).

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed very pleasantly and reception wonderful. The rooms very well appointed and we were fortunate to be upgraded to a junior suite. The hotel is clean and has excellent service levels.

Nothing at all this is an excellent hotel. I do think breakfast ought to be included in the room rate as 30 Pounds is a bit much.

We enjoyed the 'Country House' feel of the place in the centre of London. Not at all fussy, staff very obliging.
