I booked a two night break for my partner and I for his Birthday in Sept. Whilst the break away wasn't a surprise I asked if it would be possible to arrange a bottle of wine in the room for our arrival. I was promptly emailed their wine menu and emailed back with my choice. When we arrived not only was the bottle of wine in the room but a hand written Birthday card from the team in reception as well. My partner and I found this a lovely touch. It's the little touches and friendly staff that really made the hotel. From the boutique accessories, scrumptious dinner and breakfast manu to the spacious clean and modern rooms we couldn't fault the place. You can tell the team are working hard to make it a lovely environment and I can honestly say they're succeeding! As for the location, it's perfect and the free on-site parking an added bonus! Well worth a visit.
Change your main photo, it doesn't do your hotel justice!
Pretty much everything except see negative
The room we stayed in had just a little noise from the kitchen below. The most unfortunate thing was that the level of noise passing through from the en suite to the adjacent bedroom was unacceptable. Woken early and late both days of stay so wasn't the restful break hoped for. Frustrating because everything else was okay.
Location of Hotel Attention to detail Excellent Quality of Breakfast Very Attentive Staff.
Only on arrival at the Hotel did we find out that you are unable to consume "your own Alcoholic Drinks " in the Comfort of your OWN room.....!! .Having stayed in Hundreds of quality hotels all over the world I have NEVER Experienced a Rule like this and found it quite unnecessary. The Hotel will loose Return trade from this draconian rule!.If you stay away from the main hotel there is a problem with the water pump ,i.e. Generator noise providing this service to these rooms. Poor Internet access away from the main hotel area. Thank you
Very polite service
Needs a bit of maintenance to bathroom in our ensuite just a little tired.
Booked this hotel through booking. Com and was very pleased. Arrived late at night ready for funeral the next day. Outside very pretty and onside winderful. Very tastefully decorated, would like to copy the look at home. Staff very kind and recommended we take a trip to Rossili beach. So glad we did, it was amazing. Will be back soon.
Only being able to stop the one night!!!
Friendly staff, especially the young lady on breakfast duty, who allowed us to start breakfast early as we had appointment at the General Hospital. Fine bedroom concept and decoration. We really enjoyed the cooked breakfast
Noisy electrical appliance outside Oxwich Green room. Unsightly flat roof. Loose toilet seat bracket. Poor tea/coffee facilities i.e. a large circular & stained tray, positioned on a smaller rectangular surface. Mugs difficult to handle. Facility is dangerous and spoils the whole concept. Would like to see low level lights on steps to bathroom and possibly a handrail as well.
decor and furnishings lovely grounds and terrace rooms were excellent
the location. the massive bathroom with double shower and big bath. the breakfast was very good. Staff very polite.
There was a slight droaning noise early in the morning, I suspect this was from a kitchen extractor located outside of our bedroom window (horton). I am a light sleeper and this was only a very minor issue. It may not be a problem for most people.
Had very relaxing time in lovely peaceful surroundings. Excellent Breakfast. Very comfortable room.
Décor, roomy bathroom - lots of places to put your stuff, breakfast and staff at breakfast, location pretty, exterior lovely, very quiet generally (see negative), home made bread & butter in restaurant and lovely waiter who gave me some more
Our room Cheriton a little smaller than expected although adequate, little plumbing noise first thing when people are getting up
Central for travelling around the Gower.
High Standard of cleanliness everywhere. Staff friendly and very professional. Food at breakfast and dinner excellent. Ideal place for a quiet, comfortable break.
Everything apart from temperamental alarm system.
Temperamental alarm system
Lovely modern deco. Beautiful evening meal. Lovely and clean. Pretty location.
Great room and good quiet location, previous visit excellent but the return a disappointing experience as food was excellent previously.
Poor sevice in restarant and quality of evening meal did not match the cost for a steak, very average.
The breakfast was not that expressive. It simply was not worth the money that you paid for the hotel. Bin was not even cleared up the second day.
Comfortable room, nicely decorated, good cooked breakfast
Smell in bathroom, dinner menu outside my budget, limited choice at breakfast, warm orange juice, cold toast
It was an ok hotel. Nothing special for the money
In the bathroom the hot and COLD taps, over the bath, both had very hot water coming from them.
lovely looking rooms, extremely clean
lacking a mirror in the bedroom quite expensive restaurant, with no cheaper alternative menu. would've like some sandwiches during the day but wasn't available/possible
Nice decor, modern contemporary
bathroom needed a refit
Restaurant was fab
Bed slopped of both sides Neighbors doors banged and were very noisy.
Boutique hotel with a homely style
We stayed 2 nights in July in the annexe. This was perfect for us, the room was comfortable and the decor was lovely. Very clean, nice and private and the little table and chairs outside were a bonus. We were able to park very close by which was good for us as my husband has walking difficulties. Overall a delightful experience and should we venture that way again we wouldn't hesitate in booking in to the Gower Hotel
Nothing to dislike!
This boutique hotel has not been open very long and the management are really making an effort to put themselves on the map. I must admit they are certainly succeeding. We had a four night stay in 'The Room With A Bath' a spacious room with a Victorian style bath in the centre. The room also featured a King sized bed and huge en-suite toilet and shower. The bar was cosy and even had locally brewed real ale on tap. Food wise, breakfast was well provided and the cooked option was excellent with delicious sausages and black pudding. Due to a slight misunderstanding at check in (no real fault of the staff) we were offered a free bottle of Prosecco with dinner - this is how seriously they take customer satisfaction! The new French trained Russian chef produced a very enjoyable dinner, and we were very impressed that we were asked for feedback as he was trying out a new menu. He certainly knows his stuff. A great stay in a great hotel in the most fantastic part of South Wales.
Staff Location Clean Individual
Thought the bed and bedding rather cheap and uncomfortable. Put in a premier inn bed and all would be perfect.
