Very stylish and comfortable. Would love to try it in the summer when we can make use of the terrace.
Nothing really, all good except there are no views of the coast, but surroundings are very pleasant and I think the walks from the hotel would be good.
Bed rolled down when you laid on it
Everything was just perfect for our short stay for a Christening in the area. We had stayed there before for a wedding which was amazing and we were equally as pleased this time around!
no full length mirror plugs in hand basins & bath would hold back water lighting in dinning room to dark in the morning
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Food was great and staff couldn't do enough to help you. Will definitely stay again.
Very cosy, warm and friendly. Beautifully done up rooms and resturant. Very friendly staff. Loved the hair straightners in the too.!
Wanted to have a bath but there was only a very bright main light, would have liked some softer lighting in the bathroom!
It was a lovely hotel. The meal we had was fantastic!! We would recommend it to everyone !
being a small hotel it was quite noisy and there was quite a lot of noise from the kitchen
decor, staff, food, situation,
evening menu a bit expensive
amazing food could not fault.
pillows to firm
the eye for detail in making your stay very comfortable, everything thought of and breakfast was delicious!
couldn't get a signal on my mobile - but not the end of the world.
The ambiance The river! The peace
Poor mobile phone reception. No mid-range priced food
quiet, modern, somewhat quirky. The room and bathroom were lovely. Breakfast was great. Only refurbished a year ago so very nice.
a queen or king sized bed would have been nice. no meal Sunday evening, which they correctly warned us about but there were two great pubs within a short walk.
the staff were very friendly and professional Great restaurant and excellent food Breakfast choices were brilliant and the lights around the hotel were lovely and made it look really nice and Xmasy............I will definitely stay again when I'm in the area
My only let down was having No signal for the phone in room or hotel itself ...... Having to go into the car park to try and find a spot so able to make calls
Food was first class
Bedroom was cold and shower was very noisy
Great find, very comfortable and relaxing hotel. Food excellent would return for a longer stay.
Pleasant room. Dog friendly-ish - not allowed in bar. Waiting staff friendly.
Unwelcoming reception staff. No net curtains on ground floor in lodge room. With dog so "banished" to eat alone in conservatory where no staff presence except to give me food. Had to book dinner table "blind" on arrival but no menu ready.
Decor and space
Location. Deco through the hotel.
No mirror on wall for you to do your make up and hair a small round mirror was not suffice. Room was very small
Friendly and helpful on arrival, comfortable room, good wifi, huge bathroom, soft towels. Easy parking. Good location for touring area. Great restaurant.
Pretty much everything was good
Getting down to it was a bit of a chore. Only had warm water for a bath in the evening in our room anyway
Position of Hotel Comfortable bed Excellent breakfast Friendly staff Good parking Large bathroom
Lighting in bedroom was reader friendly, lovely lamps but shades too big.
Very good food, friendly staff and lovely room.
Beautiful bathroom but water not hot enough for a bath, taps made a dreadful noise when running water.
The staff were very friendly and helpful
We had to wait 2 hours for a table in the resturant as they take in non residents.
Great location, wonderful varied rooms and really good food
Dinner service was slow at the start, but all became clear when the waiter told us that 2 members of staff had not turned in. They did turn it around though getting more staff in and the food was worth the wait
I booked a two night break for my partner and I for his Birthday in Sept. Whilst the break away wasn't a surprise I asked if it would be possible to arrange a bottle of wine in the room for our arrival. I was promptly emailed their wine menu and emailed back with my choice. When we arrived not only was the bottle of wine in the room but a hand written Birthday card from the team in reception as well. My partner and I found this a lovely touch. It's the little touches and friendly staff that really made the hotel. From the boutique accessories, scrumptious dinner and breakfast manu to the spacious clean and modern rooms we couldn't fault the place. You can tell the team are working hard to make it a lovely environment and I can honestly say they're succeeding! As for the location, it's perfect and the free on-site parking an added bonus! Well worth a visit.
