Very convenient location, excellent food in the restaurant good choice and beautifully prepared and the breakfast was just as good! Very friendly and helpful staff
Food was excellent as was the general ambience in the restaurant.
No hot water available in the morning had to have a cold shower, invigorating but very unpleasant!
Attentiveness of the staff. Friendly warm welcome.
Slight delay in the restaurant although we had time to wait so not a problem and the food was excellent. The staff very pleasant.
Receptionist was very unpleasant, looked at us like for some reason we dont belong there and to be honest i've been all over the world, travelled 1st class, been to 5 star hotels, noone's ever made me feel that uncomfortable. Also!!!!We needed to check out at 3.45 in the morning and were told there will be someone to check us out, after ringing the phone and banging on the door for half an hour we just had to go because my boyfriend had to go to work.Next day i had to travel 40 miles to check us out.Not pleased!
Very noisy with slamming room doors after midnight, bed uncomfortable, not one I would recommend.
the staff were very helpful
Reception staff and breakfast boy excellent. Breakfast high quality.
Pillows on bed hard. So called bar not always open. Manager very disorganised and forgetful.
Friendly staff, bar and restaurant nicely decorated. Reasonable location.
Rooms adequate, bit like a travel lodge - overpriced for what they were but decent enough. Website suggests the accommodation is nicer than it is! Despite asking for an earlier check in to get changed for a funeral, we were refused except if we paid a fee and even then, that was too late to leave us time to get ready. When we went for breakfast towards the end of the allotted time, the table was not set, they asked us if wanted a drink then forgot to bring it. We had no condiments and some missing cutlery and had to take these from a nearby table. Breakfast itself was ok.
The staff were very friendly, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again.
Our room overlooked the car park, which was a bit noisy. The outside seating area could have done with a clean (the cushions were dirty and stained)
Breakfast Room good size Large bed Quiet location Friendly Staff
Bathroom Facilites a little basic Complimentary Tea/Coffee a bit mean but we only stayed one night so we managed, otherwise we would have asked for replenishments
We've had breakfast in a lot of hotels and my wife and I both agree this was one of the best, quality and quantity - thanks.
Busy road which can't be helped.
The hotel is in a great location with nice views of the hills and the vineyard
Needs better signposting on the approach
Really helpful staff on reception. Seriously good food. Good range of wines available by the glass.
Bathroom rather tired. Wifi unusably slow.
Friendly staff, good food and service, comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi reception
No water in the shower due to on-going work
Wi fi password readily available
Lots of Pubic hairs in the bath it really was terrible complained got a little money off made my complaint saying I did nt think I should pay at all. Never stayed anywhere where the bath was so disgusting
Clean comfortable rooms.staff polite and friendly.had option of booking breakfast, which was cooked well and nicely presented.
No negative comments.
A very quiet location, all facilities and friendly staff.
Checkout by 10:30 and breakfast finishing at 09:30 on a bank hol monday were perhaps a tad early but this did not detract from it being a great hotel & great stay.
Nice quiet for restful night
Nice grounds and excellent food in the restaurant. Very helpful staff.
Hotel had no record of my booking and when they checked on booking.com website it appeared to be cancelled.
It is conveniently situated near an elderly relative who is in a Care Home & have stayed 4 times so far.
A bit pricey for one person. The access to the restaurant is separate from the rooms & one is exposed to the elements on the way to breakfast. Bracing when it is cold wet & windy! A simple solution would be a covered link. Staff mostly welcoming & friendly but some can be luke warm. Having stayed a few times now, no one has 'welcomed me back'.
No extra charge for room service. Breakfast Floral gardens Dog friendly
Great location and rooms lovely and quiet. Food really quite excellent - ate there two nights in a row. Good breakfast as well. Good, pleasant service. I would definitely stay again.
Room did "smell" a bit but this was apparently due to new carpets. That said, management were very quick to respond and they do appear to listen to their customers. Wifi was really hit and miss .. I couldn't get a signal at all in the hotel room which was disappointing.
Liked it all, especially as it is relativley a recent building, up to date, clean, well maintained and obviously privately owned. Good decor, clean bathrooms, clean carpets, very warm with an amazingly good restaurant, also beautifully decorated & excellent waiting staff too. Great parking, lovely surroundings, even better when leaves are on the tress again. Staff so helpful and no hassle at all with the booking, accommodation or anything. Amazing value for money too. Great .. thank you so much.
There was a wedding reception one of the nights we stayed when I guest came back at two in the morning having left the extractor fan on in the next bathroom which magnified in sound through the wall so I could not sleep, it seemd endless having gone to bed at 10 pm, not to mention the utter waste & electric bill. I have the tiniest B&B in the universe so understand the need to be careful on utulity bills. Perhaps a motion censor cut off for the bathrooms would be good to avoid other guests being kept awake. Apart from that what was there not to like ?
Well appointed room, nice restaurant, plenty of parking
Prices for food and drink on the higher side, room only made up for single occupancy yet clearly booked as for a couple!
