The Grand at Trafalgar Square

Està molt ben situat: té 2 estacions de metro al costat (Charing Cross i Embankment) i està a un passeig del Palau de Buckingham, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, London Eye, Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus... D'altra banda l'hotel és un 4 estrelles impecable.

L'habitació la vàrem trobar una mica freda (era el febrer). Fou una lluita amb el termostat i el sistema de calefacció aconseguir una temperatura óptima per al nostre gust (aquesta gent no té mai fred!).

I stay regularly at this hotel for business. It is in a good central location for my meetings, for restaurants and transport links.

There are not enough lifts in this hotel! During busy periods you may have to let 2 lifts go by before you can catch one. This time round we were allocated a room on 3rd floor so we could use the lifts at the other end which made access a lot quicker and less cramped.

you had nice beds and great AC/fan system in the room

the toilet flusher broke and I had to do make shift pluming to get nme thru my 2nd day there

Location was superior for the first or second time visitor. Greatly appreciated the gym facilities and filtered/bottled water and laundry facilities.

Polite staff - Close to shopping, food and transporation - Close to attractions.

Location, location, location! Central to everything for a short city break. We also loved the automated checking in and out facilities. Buses outside the door, a tube station across the street and Trafalgar Square on your doorstep - what's not to like?

No view from window except blank wall.

Good central location on the edge of Trafalgar Square. It was easy to check in and out and had everything that we needed.

The bar closed at 10.30pm - not something that i would expect of a hotel of this standard.

Location, cleanness

There was a wall about 1.5 m from the window so absolutely no view, VAT added to the price even if the reservation stated that the price included VAT

Everything. 2nd visit here, another scheduled soon. Spacious rooms, awesome staff, convenient location.

Internet connection (both wired and wireless) is sketchy but no charge....happened last time i stayed also.

Clean, quiet room with great modern furnishings. Very comfortable. I felt quite safe as a woman traveling alone.

The hotel itself was great, but the staff was a disaster. My check-in experience was so incompetent that it took longer than the late-night drive from Heathrow (really). Housekeeping did not regularly remove and replace used glasses and coffee mugs (sometimes they were removed but not replaced, other days replaced, etc.). Housekeeping took but did not replace soiled towels left on the floor after several days. When I finally ran out of all towels, I learned that the hotel had no clean towels available. They were finally delivered by a nice staff member, but at 11 pm. Let me reiterate: the hotel itself was great and the location was unbeatable. The staff was remarkably ineffective for the caliber of the hotel (and the price).
