The staff were all very helpful especially holly on reception, I had a couple of queries before we arrived and holly answered them for me, also on departure she went out of her way to get us a taxi in busy rush hour. The breakfast was fantastic and again so was the staff. The facility where you can leave your luggage on arrival and departure is brilliant. Our room was large and clean and we would definitely stay again.

The hotel is in such a perfect central location for staying in London without paying extortionate prices. Northumberland Avenue is a calm road just off the hectic Trafalagar Square, so nice to return to after a busy day sightseeing or night out. We only had a standard size room - but it had eveything you need and was clean, pleasant and comfortable. Very convenient, good value and we would use this hotel again.

The location is perfect, right in the heart of London and yet quite silent room! We had a family room and it worked well for two adults and a 13 year old child. Our first impression of the room was disappointing: 1) one bathrope for three persons 2) two tee cups for three persons 3) not well cleaned toilet seat and 4) bathtub did not hold the water. We noted the reception right away on arrival evening - it took until our second notice to the reception on second day evening till everything was fixed.

the reception staff were very helpful. we loved the interior of the lobby and bar area. the location was great.. we walked everywhere.. good bars and restaurants near by in covent garden. we were disappointed in the bar service.. we were left waiting for two gin and tonics for at least 15 minutes and it was not busy.. and the drinks are not cheap!

Loved my quiet room..and the window that was operable for fresh air. Location was great. I was traveling alone and felt very safe. I enjoyed Boyd's, the food and service was very good. Would stay again The lady at the front desk at check-in was not very friendly or helpful.

Staff were helpful. Location excellent. Room had better than usual facilities. The beautiful bar closed too early. We never managed to have a night cap.

The Grand certainly lived up to its name. A fantastic hotel in the heart of London, only 150 metres from Lord Nelson's column. Polite staff, good clean room and will definitely stay here again.

It was very central. The staff could have been a bit more efficient and friendly. When my key card wasn't working I did not get any apology for any inconvenience, the girl at the desk just took the card and reprogrammed it and handed it back. The fact that I had just come in out of the rain, gone all the way up to my room and had to come back down was inconvenient.

We used this hotel as our base for a classy hen do. We wanted something plush, centrally located but not expensive - and this fitted the bill. Breakfast was pricey and sometimes the service was a bit haphazard (eg We were kept waiting for about 20 minutes one morning and they brought the bill before the food arrived. When it came one of the plates was missing the sausages).

We had no complaints at all. The staff were extremely helplful in directing us to certain places in London. Room was clean and I the water station and ice on the floor was a good idea. I guess the price of 1 bottle of coke and 2 small rums. I thought the cost £18 was way too high but guess thats London for you

I found the location and comfort very adequate. I did not like the fact that I had to look for an iron in my room, the tea and coffe facilities were poor, and in particular I did not like the fact that the breakfast was over priced, using mass produced food products, and a optional service charge was added even though one had to serve ones self, and search around the buffet, it really let the hotel down.

I am a Londoner living overseas and brought my family to London to show them the sights for the first time. The hotel is in a superb location and is comfortable walking distance for west end shows , west end shopping and all the sights of London. When I return to London next year we will be staying here again

The location was ideal. The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. The room was large and comfortable and all the amenities were great. We traveled with 3 children and requested a roll away bed which was provided to us. Even with the extra bed in the room there was plenty of room. There is a kitchenette in the room with a stove, microwave and refrigerator. That was very convenient for snacks for the kids. There is a laundry facility on the 3rd floor which was free, including detergent and fabric softener. No one wants to do laundry on vacation but the ability to use the facility at no cost was a very nice amenity. Our plane arrived extremely early in the morning and despite repeated requests for early check in we were unable to check in prior to 3:00. That made it very difficult for our children. This is the only negative thing which I can say about the hotel.
