Quality of food and excellent service Relaxed atmosphere
Nice room with a great view. Swimming pool excellent. Breakfast very good especially the Yogurt. Meal in the evening was again excellent with reasonably priced wines.
Everything about the hotel and food except pillows and seating in 110..
The seating was too small and hard in the turret room - very poor quality and disappointing when watching television. Also much prefer down and feather pillows.
Great Lunch on the terrace. Really good food. Turret room very roomy, and excellent views. Very friendly staff (Lost my phone in a taxi) Receptionist said don't worry you will get it back. She confirmed that people had lost wallets before and had them handed in by taxi firms)!
Bar Prices No option other than Bacon & Eggs, other than continental.
The room was excellent, the pool was a good size for a hotel. its position on the frontage was superb,
The food menu needs more variety, if you order flowers please insist they are delivered to the front desk or you may have problems locating them!!!
Friendly staff. Nice comfortable room.
Scrambled egg and bacon only for cooked option. Bed was very hard.
Traditional hotel which has been modernised throughout. Excellent situation with activities for families within walking distance. Nice walks along the front. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Food was good and the 'continental' breakfast included cooked meats, cheeses etc with option for bacon and scrambled eggs cooked to order. Fridge with water, soft drinks and snacks.
'Atmospheric' music in the dining area in the evening was more suited to under 30's. Coffee machine in rooms but no kettle. Tea can be ordered as room service but at 7.30 am do you really want to be bothered waiting!
Very warm welcome on arrival. All staff attentive professional and friendly. Food excellent. Room wonderful. We loved it!
We liked everything about it, we especially liked the complimentary drinks and crisp in the hotel room. What a good idea! :)
Liked the room and shower
Lovely hotel for a luxury break, really enjoyed it there and would more than recommend it.
We stayed in room 110 which was the best room in the hotel, which we got on a deal with booking .com. I've scored good for value as we found the food and drinks expensive. Although we found the food in the restaurant to be really good. We hope to stay again soon. We will be recommending the Grand Hotel to all our family and friends
The Hotel is very high quality and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The Hotel has a lively, vibrant atmosphere and the food is excellent in the restaurant.
I think the limited room service menu particularly the breakfast is not in keeping with the high standard of this superb hotel.
The room was great with fabulous views. The bed and bathroom were fantastic. I could not fault the staff who were more than obliging. We certainly will stay there again and looking forward to it very much. Oh and the swimming pool was fantastic;-). Many thanks to you all. You get a big pat on the back from me. X
There was No tea in the room which my partner wasnt happy about so she sadly had to have coffee. There was No hair conditioner in the bathroom which seemed a bit odd?
Good parking, a good sized room, and a first class breakfast cooked for you, not sitting around in trays waiting. In a great location that is far enough away from the crass commercialism of Blackpool to be nice, while still being close enough to allow you to dip into it easily when you want.
Steaks in the restaurant were overpriced compared to the rest of the menu. Coffee but no tea making facilities in the room. Elevator was being repaired so had to walk up to the rooms. Bedroom decor was a little dated.
Very friendly. There was a mistake made, but it was rectified and staff were very apologetic. Thank you
excellent location; good spa facilities;
poor room (bath in the middle); no real restaurant of any description - a tapas bar; no dvd player in room as promised and no help give when asked for it; not very clean and fraying at the edges; a very limited breakfast menu other than continental which was unchanged - bacon and scrambled eggs was the only cooked item on offer; the hotel public relations dept. overhype the facilities and it is time they listened to comments.
The whole experience was a relaxing comforting break. a break we will definately be taking again soon.
Nothing,,,,,,, we loved it all.
We loved the room, location, leisure facilities and the food. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was a perfect stay. We will be returning soon I hope. We loved room 117, floor to ceiling windows, a huge bed and fabulous bathroom with a walk in wet room shower and Molton Brown toiletries.
The staff from the minute we arrived ,the room was fab,the food and restaurant staff ,pool and the location !
Couldn't find fault with anything we did book on a sunday nght so the hotel was quiter tried to book for another date and couldn't get the 3 rooms I wanted on a few different dates through booking.com ! M
Beuatiful room, and recently upodated. Receptionist was very helpful both days.
Lift not working Paid for breakkfasrt but not available until 8 am, we had a train tio catch at 7.50 am.
Room was very spacious, well designed and had a marvellous view of the hotel grounds and the sea front/roads outside. Restaurant was both smart and modern, lunch was very good and breakfast was excellent. The hotel exudes class and comfort
The hotel did not have any faults during our stay
The room, the staff, the cleanliness, the breakfast, everything about this hotel oozes professionalism. This hotel could be used as an example for other hotels in Great Britain of How to get it right for the customer. Brilliant place to stay and we will be returning very soon
No negative comments about this hotel
Very nice large room with a fantastic view, the restaurant was second to none and the staff from reception to cleaners were all so helpful and friendly, which, all in all, made the 'Grand' a very comfortable place to stay.
Heating in the room, particularly the bathroom, could have been better. The coffee maker was good but no facility to make a cup of tea. No information pack in the room for hotel and local activities or places of interest.
