Friendly and helpful staff and good location.
Bedroom chilly- radiators on full. Insufficient sofas in lounge - on one night the two sofas hogged by local knitting group.
I was in room 300 and there was no wifi signal in my room. I booked this hotel after being assured there would be wifi in my room, so I was very disappointed and won't book here again.
The staff are really friendly, very nice room and a great bed. Booked for next week as well
I didn't get a chance to sample breakfast because I start work before the restaurant is open
Staff were great and food was good especially breakfast
It took over 5 minutes to get any hot water into shower.
The seaview from the bedroom was excellent.
Parking is minimal at the hotel but street parking is available.
We had very nice stay at your hotel we enjoyed the pool and health suite lovely food well looked after thank you
Shower rather slow
Excellent friendly staff superb breakfast and a fantastic view of the whole bay from the restaurant
Comfortable room with fantastic views, great location close to Swanage Town centre and especially the beach. Friendly staff and overall good atmosphere.
Having to leave on the sunday!!! Not being able to dine in the restaurant because of Christmas party booking when it wasn't yet December.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Wonderful views. Easy walk into Swanage.
Parking not very good. We managed to get in and stayed there for fear of losing the space.
Food was dreadful especially our meal in the restaurant on Sunday night. Definitely warmed up from lunch time.
Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. Lovely breakfast. My husband and i had a romantic night away here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. would definitely stay again.
Great Sea view, nice breakfast, very friendly staff. Very relaxing and quiet.
location ambience of reception and lounge area.
Nice and warm open fires in the main lounge. Good conservatory for sitting an watching the view. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice range.
Small single room size, but not a complaint really, just reality. Very clean though.
We asked for a twin room with a sea view and the view was breath taking
We booked to stay friday and saturday night. There was a private function in the hotel on the Saturday night so we couldn't use any facilities downstairs. Eg the sitting room/conservatory or the bar for an evening drink/ nightcap. We weren't informed about this private function until we checked in.
The welcome, the open fire to read a book beside, good bars, lovely conservatory, view to die for over towards the Isle of Wight, waking up to the sound of the sea, stylish restaurant with excellent, friendly service, superb breakfast......
It is a bit out of the centre of town, but we liked that... it was an easy and pleasant walk along the promenade or beach to the theatre, shops, resaurants, and of course station with steam trains for Corfe Castle.
We love the location, that is why we returned. Tasty lunch with unbeatable view.
Bed and pillow very soft, woke up with serious neck pain. Jakuzzi and pool was out of order again, might be our bad luck, as one of the waiters put it.
Sense of history, location, best views in Swanage, table tennis table!
Pool was closed! Bit stuffy
The ambience was very good, table linen excellent, one or the two beds was very good (see dislikes) and the food quality was very good.
One of the beds was noisy and needed replacement. The cleaning person didn't touch the bathroom...very bad. The lift felt insecure and needs modernising.
Rooms available with a superb view of the sea Comfortable room Nice to have gym facility Nice walk into the town
Great location, great staff and friendly service. Also, good bar menu so we had a choice between the restaurant and bar.
The powdered scrambled eggs for breakfast! Have fried or boiled! Apart from that everything was great.
Friendly staff Clean Good location This is an old style sea-side hotel so expect a few 'old-style' facilities. The gym area is massive for a hotel and even has a small indoor pool.
Poor WiFi Lack of off-street parking but there is not much the hotel can do about this
Relax and friendly atmosphere
We had a pleasant mid week break at the Grand Hotel. The location and views are outstanding and the hotel has an old world charm. Staff were friendly and we had a comfortable room.
The wifi is very poor and you have to be in the lounge downstairs to get any sort of connection. In this day and age , there should be good reception in each room.
