Score from 19 reviews Wonderful
The room, the staff the view, the restaurant, every thing was very good. We intend to go back and will want room 111 again with its balcony.
Traditional hotel atmosphere; helpful and friendly staff; well above average food & service for a 3* hotel; lovely dining room with plenty of window tables overlooking the bay; passenger lift; shower that worked well with additional hand shower attachment; sea view with small balcony (Room No 101); very pleasant garden.
Very small on-site car park although no problem finding on road parking (end September 2014); spotlessly clean bathroom but may be due for refurbishment; food quality excellent but dinner menu occasionally perhaps a bit limited.
Great view nice atmosphere
Happy with everything but I do prefer organic wholesome sausages and the eggs were A little small.
Good size room, sea view, pleasant garden, excellent dinner
very warm in the hotel
The location, the views and the helpful staff
The inadequate carpark
The view from our window was outstanding, staff are very friendly, hotel pool was ok, breakfast very nice and served to your table.
Room was hot and the light from the conservatory kept us awake.
Staff, food, location rooms a little warn but comfortable price for last min can not fault
Very Poor wifi may be update, car parking poor but not their fault limited space.
The location was fantastic almost on the beach, we could lay in bed and listen to the sound of the sea on the shore and the view around the Bay from our window was lovely. The staff were also very friendly and helpfull.
The hotel's location and outlook Public areas very spacious The seaview from our room, though not all rooms had this Very friendly and helpful staff Good quality bar food from a surprisingly extensive bar menu
Insufficient parking System of ordered, newspaper distribution - other residents able to 'claim' newspaper Wi fi not available throughout hotel Could do with a refurb No iron in fairly expensive room
food view staff rooms very nice
Location Nice breakfast Friendly restaurant staff View
Rude and uncooperative reception staff No food available on a Sunday lunch time Did not honour late check out request
Great views, good place to stay.
Limited parking, poor food quality.
Ageing décor. Uncomfortable bed. Non matching furniture. Poor shower Failed TV
Poor beds, very old and tired.Breakfast extremely poor , hardly any fruit, badly set out, and little choice
Location Sea view from bedroom fantastic.
Parking. Small cooked breakfast portions. Not very tasty. Dodgy plumbing on 3rd floor.
Helpful and pleasant staff Pleasant terrace garden with good sea view and easy access to beach.
Inadequate parking, had to park on street for one night. Shabby room, not properly cleaned. Tired old bathroom with difficult access to bath and shower. Hot poorly ventilated room Shabby public rooms Premium price for a hotel which is not of standard that might be expected of a 3 star rating.
Great location on a cliff overlooking the beach. You can sit in the veranda or in the garden with a pint of Ringwood and just watch whatever is happening down in the bay. The comfortable, non-corporate ambiance is very relaxing, without the Days Gone By experience extending to the furniture and plumbing.
It was too hot at night. The window, facing the sea, couldn't be opened very far so the room was very warm. A lighter grade duvet might have helped.
Location, views, friendly helpful staff and facilities.
Lack of shelving in bathroom
Breakfast staff good
No ventilation Shower was very poor, no pressure, Poor parking had to park a long way away on the street from the hotel No WIFI in rooms, had to come to main floor My rating for this hotel would be 1 1/2 - 2 stars at the most. Barman - miserable
The proximity to sea. Quiet room 111. Lovely views from terrace restaurant One particular young receptionist very friendly. Waiting staff nice. Great staircase.
Limited parking. Room 111 had balcony accessed via a door that had been a window. Two carpeted steps up to it but a drop down on other side someone had improvised a step - some carfbosrd I think - and covered by s towek to make the jump shorter. Very crude. Room cleaner didn't tidy towels on 2nd morning of two night stsy. Just left straggling from rail. Got impression of a very quick job done. Room needs updating on the whole but edpecially the access onto balcony Lovely to have the doors and to hear the sea but tje dtop fown onto the balcony is unaccrptable and easily remedied.
Location is excelant especially with a seaview room and dining looking out to sea.
Very poor quality mattress. Could feel the springs when lying down. Parking a nightmare , not enough spaces even along the road!
Fresh decor in Bedrooms and Dining room.breakfast had good choice and pleasant staff.
Parking a bit tight as we had 2 Cars with us but staff were helpful
Food, location and view, staff oh and the weather was fab!
Shabby pine furniture in our room.
Mostly the position on cliffs. Lovely garden with sun loungers . Spacious lounge and conservatory with wonderful sea and beach views where snacks and meals available
The VIEW - Breathtaking The FOOD - Amazing The STAFF - Were very friendly
Pool too tiny and kept banging my feed and legs on the edge = dangerous Staff tried to charge 50 pence per towel on day 2 but not on day one Massage booked for a special birthday present was cancelled in the end but messed around Sauna - wood was burnt
