wi-fi, location, very simple breakfast was ok, but at least ham could be added to this jam and cheese. We came to early (8am) to make it for the boiled eggs...
There's a coffee, tea, electric kettle, but not a single spoon or anything to stir. We got the room in the basement, mouldy, cause of the wet floor (rug and underneath) caused by the water leaking from the shower as this one was plugged with a disgusting massive hair clog. Room was only heated by the electric portable radiator (the main one didn't work). The electricity went off at night in the room, so when we woke up it was freezing cold. No power in the plugs, neither light in the room. It wasn't clean, towels were a bit stinky (cause of the moisture in the room) Luckily we didn't stay there for longer than just one short night, but honestly night at Stansted airport was slightly better..
The hotel is in a very central location
The room was dirty, dirty walls and floor. The matress was dirty and heavily stained,There was no plug in the wash hand basin.I told reception about this but nothing was done about it.I have stayed in lots of Lindon hotels,The Grapevine was easily the worst.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Let me think about it
Smell from the bathroom spreading to the bedroom, stinky bed linen, bathroom pod (tiny pre-fabricated bathroom), no remote controller for the TV
Location was very good. Personell was helpfull as they have to fix a lot of things in my room. Room was clean. Bad was ok.
Building needs renovation asap. Despite room was clean, still walls, doors, floor are morally old. It was not possible to close window normally, as there was tv cable between. Doors lock looked terribly, but worked. At least staff was very helpfull
Clean, quiet. Good for the price.
Breakfast Wireless was good
Room hadn't been cleaned properly before i came in. Toilet hadn't been flushed Toilet was being redone when i got in. No hot water in the room Single bed was uncomfortable TV couldn't be tuned
Right next to Victoria coach station
Broken springs in bed, fire alarm went off, got out of the shower and staff walked in room (while i had no clothes on) no knocking, bed dirty, towel dirty, walls like paper, no double glazing, radiator not working, shower boiling then freezing within 2 mins, shower head broken spits water out everywhere, room right next to street, glasses provided taste like what ever they were washed in, didnt even want to try breakfast! Overall the worst place I've ever stayed in. Booking.com should remove this from there site
location, reception staff very helpful, satisfactory breakfast
tiny room, even tinier bathroom, very basic amenities, thin walls, faulty heating
Very friendly personal, who always ready to help or advice you. Nice location 10 min from Victoria station. Safe district (I trawelled at midnight alone without any problem). Normal breakfast with tea, coffie, porridge etc. Bed was also normal, comfortable. I liked to stay there because of normal price.
My room was on down floor so it was not easy to take my suitcase downstairs. Stairs is really thin, this is not for fat people for sure))))) Shower worked and you able regulate temperature from cold to hot but you was not able to turn off water without pushing the red button in the hall - which is not nice if you in towel in cold room.
Staff support on local details
Space of room, quality of room, cleanliness, sub standard facilities, minimal name sake items including breakfast, cannot be really a UK B&B in comparison to the many B&Bs /hotels I have stayed.
Location of hotel was great
Room very small, Toilet/shower room not very clean not much space to move,
The wifi internet connection was good.
TV did not work at all not even the staff could get it to work. Doves could be heard brooding all the time. Curtain was too small to cover the window. The room (No 12) was very very small at the roof top 59 steps to climb from the ground floor. Noise of love making from the room next door in a foreign language very audible. The bed was very small. The carpets in the hall way must be dated from the 1960's. and many many more. The bread at breakfast was stale maybe two days old.
Location 5 mins walk from Victoria station good shower
Beds were poor grubby carpet in room breakfast very poor security wouldn't be the best
The breakfast was quite OK, there was a variety of food so everyone could choose
We had room under the ground floor with wet walls, the toilet was smelling, shower wasn´t functioning properly, there was noise during the night and the room was without any wardrobe.
Staff ( at lobby ). Very friendly and helpful as well. Recommended
The 1st bedroom size ( number 17 ) ( too small ). Conditions ( like shower ) not the best ones
Location good, close to Victoria, Victoria Coach Station, Westminster Abbey, Buckingam Palace. Self Service breakfast is plentiful, except meats. WiFi is good in the room. Bedclothes are good and clean.
The building is old, and before restoration. Room is small. No table, no chair, no room even for the suitcase. The carpet floor was unpleasant. Bathroom undemanding, small, moldy, smelly, so small, that, sink is outside the bathroom. The only case to stay, that we have to pay all night in advance.
There was no TV reception. There was no hot water for a shower. There was half a curtain so no privacy at night and had to undress in the dark. There was pigeon poo on the window ledge. The room was a shoe box.
Quiet neigbourhood. Close to Victoria Station and the Gatwick Express.
The door to the room did not feel safe as also the front door did not always close properly
no towel for shower in an ensuite room. Shower taps doesn't work well..
Only a 10 minute walk from Victoria Underground.
The standard of bedrooms was not good, bathrooms terrible with worse than a watering can trickle from the shower, damp smell, not very inviting at all. 1st shower we had was stone cold so have to be moved to another room....this had already been used that morning having found dirty towels & a half cup of coffee....yuck!!!! Breakfast was very limited with only pastries, toast & cereal/porridge with tea/coffee. Small breakfast area & nothing explained on your 1st morning. I would not stay at this hotel again & would suggest that Booking.com review this hotel by a stay there to witness the state that this hotel/guest house is currently in.
cold showers, hardly any water, very noisy water system, carpets were filthy: dust, hair everywhere
Thin walls you can hear everything next to you. Breakfast options very limited TV reception poor quality. Bathroom/toilet never felt clean
Strong WiFi Signal Reception staff friendly but not very helpful A 8 minute walk to Victoria Station
Dirty, poor housekeeping + maintenance. Had to ask for towels + soap 3 of 5 days. Paid extra for private ensuite but first room had no hot water, shower did not work, toilet seat broken, no soap or towels. Moved to 2nd room with again no towels, room door lock didn't work properly and no safety chain or second lock. Dirty floors - ended up buying disinfectant + cleaning bathroom myself. No remote control for TV so could not watch TV for 4 of 5 days. No reception desk for Grapevine Hotel -shares reception with Sherriff Hotel . Large pile of dirty sheets and towels in the hallway outside my room for +18 hours. Hotel entrance door lock did not work properly
Its a nice location near Victoria Station so like this you can travel really easy around London. This is the only advantage for this "hotel"
Well here the list its endless : -worst shower ever, just few cold drops -extremely poor room as smurfs size -if you are unlucky to have your room upstairs and big luggagge you will probably need to fly cause there is no space enough in the stairs -no heat at all and it was cold outside ,i dont want to know how is in the winter -you will say how bad could be? It is! i also travel a lot and cheap and i dont want lux, just basic comfort but this hotel can't be called hotel. I would prefer to pay double if i knew the conditions
