The Green House  

One road off the sea front and an easy walk into town. Our room was great and then we got upgraded to shelter us from the noise of a wedding reception. Roll top bath in the big luxurious room; on suite as well. The staff were caring and professional, the food fantastic. We ate on our 2 for 1 Tastecard which was another bonus. We will return to Bournemouth just to stay at The Green House. Thanks

Excellent attentive staff. Great food. Very romantic room.

We stayed 16/17 Apr as part of our house search in the Bournemouth area. Right from the start...booking in with a lovely young lady at reception, the warm welcome she gave us...we knew we had picked well. The personal attention given by taking us to our room, pointing out hotel facilities was excellent. We booked a small double and it was just what we needed for an overnight stay. Location is ideal for a short walk into town and Bournemoth pier. We will definately book again.

Excellent hotel with exceptional service. The room was in a very good condition and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel location was perfect for relaxation and easy to find. We did enjoy every moment in this hotel.

There is nothing to dislike about the Green House except the obvious Mr and Mrs Smith guidebook influence that they impose on these lovely hotels that seem to detract from their individuality. I could tell it the moment we walked in the hotel. You can smell that blasted guidebook's influence a mile off!

I loved the hotel,staff, food and location. Wil defenetly stay there again in the near future.

The only thing was that I wish I could have checked out a bit later than 11.00am.

The decor and comfortable rooms

The restaurant was fine for breakfast but evening menu was only a la carte and limited choice.

Great contemporary style with quality fixtures and fittings throughout. The staff were really wonderful, very professional, nothing was too much trouble and it is great these days to see happy smiling faces. The quality of the very modern food offering was superb. This is a great hotel in a superb and quiet location and only about 10 minutes stroll into the centre of Bournemouth.

The rooms were beautiful, clean and the staff were excellent.

1. There is no suitable food for children - the so-called "childrens menu" was over-priced, it was a smaller version of an adult meal and loaded with salt. Therefore, not suitable for children at all. 2.The towels were old, rough and frayed - they all need replacing. 3. The evening menu was too limited therefore very little choice. 4. The breakfast was OK, not great. I ordered a poached egg and received one so over-cooked it was dry, shrivelled and boiled hard.

The Green House is an extremely well run and managed hotel. All the rooms are beautifully maintained and decorated with style. The staff were all very professional and friendly. The quality of service was superb.

Don't like the taster meals! To fancy for us! Although we had an amazing steak and chips. Probably the best meal we had all holiday.

Efficiency and freindliness of staff plus attention to detail. Made to feel as though nothing was to much trouble. Rooms spotlessly clean and modern with good facitilities

The room/hotel was modern and eco-friendly. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts were cooked to order and were very excellent. During our stay we used public transport which was very good, there are bus stops approximately 50 yards from the hotel.

There was no savings offered by Booking.com or the hotel for half board.

Lovely clean & well decorated rooms. Food quality was excellent although portions rather small.

Lots of noise from next door student accommodation throughout one night. Water to tap on 2nd floor very lukewarm on all 3 days. Wooden flooring to restaurant made it very noisy at breakfast. Dinner menu was rather limited, especially given 1 of the 2 meat choices was not available when we came to order. Portion sizes not very good.

I couldn't fault the staff or the hotel, envy one was friendly and welcoming. I even thought that the bar prices were reasonable they were obviously more expensive than that of a pub but not too overpriced. The food was lovely the portions were a little on the small side but the presentation and taste made up for this. I would definitley go back.

The only thing that i I would say and it isn't a complaint. I was misled when booking the room as it stipulated on the confirmation that I'd booked a superior room, when infact it was classed a small double. The room had everything you needed but was rather small, maybe a little more storage space, there was only one drawer to share in the wardrobe which wasn't really sufficient.

Beautifully renovated building with lovely ambiance and charm with high ceilings and many origonal features. Bedrooms were reasonably generous in size and bed extremely comfortable. Great location to access Bournemouth's shops and restaurants and also the promenade. Friendly and helpful staff at reception, in restaurant and in the bar. Faultless breakfast and wonderful evening meal. Would definately come again.

Could not get on with the kettle and had difficulty getting water hot. Obviously not a techno freak. An induction course in how to use the kettle may have been appropriate. Lack of hanging space in wardrobe if staying longer than a few days. Being picky, large gap under bedroom door which made it difficult to get room dark in the night with lights left on in corridor overnight [not very eco friendly but presumably H&S requirement]. Quite noisey when people moving about upstairs due to creaking floorboards but presumably unavoidable with a building of this type and age. You could say it added to the charm.
