Beautiful Food..both our evening meals and our cooked breakfasts, huge choice of wines, plentiful parking, gorgeous rooms, quirky interior... we loved everything about this place!!
Our room was really nice, modern and fresh. We were very comfortable.
Stayed in the double apartment, two great rooms with on suites and lounge/kitchen in between. Very secure and newly refurbished. Shower is amazing!! Every staff member was expertly trained in their craft - nice to see.
Booked 2 lovely rooms for a birthday party. Staff very friendly, & good meal in restaurant.
We stayed 2 nights B&B at the green man. Location is great - plenty of places to walk, not too far from Hereford or Ross on Wye. Staff were very friendly and professional throughout our stay. The manager was very accommodating - arranging a meal for 15 of us at very short notice. The food was brilliant! Great choice and tasty. Breakfast was great also. Locally produced sausages - have a drink in the bar and you might meet the local butcher who produces them!! Rooms were very comfortable and modern with lots of traditional character.
Rooms were a bit hot when the heating came on - switch the radiator down before turning in for the night.
It's rare to find perfect pillows, great sleep
Attentive staff, great food in a fabulous location. Lots of lovely walks close by to choose from, Thank you for a lovely stay!!!
The stay was over too quickly
Food was very good, we ate in the restaurant in the evening but did feel a bit rushed as they were busy moving tables round ready for sunday lunches we feel they should have waited for the guests to leave before starting it was not late we left approx 9.45pm
The only downside was for breakfast my husband asked for porridge and the full english breakfast but was told you can only have one or the other, but amusingly you could have cereals and the full breakfast not quite sure why he was refused porridge.
Building, decor and atmosphere was spot on! Meal was excellent.
Very very very warm throughout the building.
Everything, food, accomodation value for money. Worth visiting again often.
Great staff, great good, comfortable room.
Wifi hit and miss. tiny TV, a bit noisy. No fruit at breakfast.
Quality of the food, presentation and service at dinner. Excellent standard of facilities and cleanliness. Quirkiness of the rooms.
Breakfast staff were indifferent and the quality of service was average compared to dinner. There was a hair in my full English which when brought to the attention of the waitress was barely acknowledged, let alone apologised for!
no bath mat
Staff as per normal, excellent. Food was the usual high standard. Room very comfortable.
Noisy, downstairs door banging throughout the night. No fruit at breakfast. TV very small. WiFi patchy connection.
Close to Mordor , or is it Mordiford? Excellent breakfast Confident, hospitable staff Beds were soooo comfy
Bit over-designed for rural Herefordshire, but the sleep was great and the welcome warm.
Wonderful hotel in a quaint village setting. Restaurant of extremely high standard and excellent service
Recently stayed for one night, room was lovely, clen, nice bathroom, comfy bed.. Had lovely meal in the restaurant...breakfast was top class..I left my phone charger in room by mistake and they posted it to me..thanks
Liked it all
Rooms very comfortable. Lovely atmosphere very friendly. Individual styling. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast using good quality produce.
Stable door to room a bit fiddly.
The decor and friendly reception
Rooms were a bit dark
Excellent service and assistance. Room comforts ideal.
Wifi reception spasmodic depending on location in building
Staff really friendly and welcoming, food excellent and beds really comfortable.
Had to chase for heating in Room 1 and never had any heating in the bathroom :-(. No drawers also gave some challenges
Varied choice of dishes on menu, catering for all tastes; food well prepared and presented as well as being good. Spacious and comfortable room in old part of pub (as requested). Staff helpful and friendly. Have been to Green Man many times, but first time used room service, which was very prompt.
Only a stone's throw from Hereford, yet this charming hotel, is set in an idyllic country village. Warm welcome, beautiful rooms, and all the modern conveniences you could need. Very special little hotel.
Perhaps only the fact that there was no iron in my room, but that is easily resolved. Otherwise no fault at all.
Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Generous sized rooms with a modern luxurious feel.
"Twee" style of dining. Eating from slate plates, wooden chopping boards, paper cones etc. - too many to fit on the table. Not having a table my side of the bed for clock, glasses etc. Make-up shelf in the lovely bathroom would have been helpful.
