Friendly welcome, amazing room and facilities
What a lovely way to spend a weekend - loved it all. Friendly staff and lovely room. Will be back!
The staff were unbelievable. We really needed a break and finding such a stunning spa hotel that allows little people AND dogs was a terrific find. We had such a relaxing time and felt cared for by every member of staff. The spa is fabulous!
The staff were all very welcoming and nothing was too much. The spa facilities were very relaxing. We were given a complimentary upgrade on our room, which was a great surprise. We will definatly be returning.
Efficient staff, great spa with outdoor hot tub and lovely massage. Tasty food in restaurant and at breakfast. Comfy bed and homemade biscuits in room.
Very expensive coffee - £4.75 for a latte!
Bedroom lovely staff great very warm and welcoming food very good absolutely great location best stay by far in any hotel
I like the atmosphere. The staff are very helpful and professional. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is divine and the spa is fantastic. I have stayed twice and can't wait to come back.
The staff were charming and helpful
The food was over priced and rather pretentious. However when I spoke to the staff they arranged an alternative veggie option which was lovely.
The room was spacious
This hotel was perfect for getting away from it all. The room was luxurious and the spa excellent. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
genuinely nice staff - have a nice day not about the tip (but service charge added to food beverages taken) lovely spa with outdoor wooden hot tub food very good and breakfast staff (waitress Joanne very welcoming - super porridge) chef very accomplished and banana souffle fantastic
Only minor observations - and nothing to prevent us returning in future Tasting menu and flight of wines (3 x 125ml and 1 x 75ml dessert wine) at full price of £100 head would have been at top end of anticipation - we enjoyed 2 for 1 on the food and absolutely no complaints Minor downside of old house layout is that internal spa access via corner of dining room
Personal service, outdoor hot tub and spa facilities, the bedroom - all WONDERFUL. The breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel staff were very welcoming and the spa facilities were perfect to unwind. We would definitely recommend and I know we'll be back again for some pampering.
Resturant staff were polite and efficient but could be a little more friendly - a smile doesn't cost anything
Very interesting atmosphere. Great breakfast.
The hotel was beautiful and staff very good
Our evening meal main course took forever to arrive over an hour and a half from order by the time it arrived we where past being hungrey
Staff hospitality superb. Spa amazing 35 degrees loungers outdoor hot tub with wine hydrotherapy pool sauna steam room food delicious bed luxurious rooms deluxe 5 stars
Very comfortable. Superb breakfast.
We've just returned after a night at The Greenway and we're very impressed. Having two french bulldogs it's important to us to have nice places to stay with our little family and i can highly recommend this place as dog friendly. Firstly the staff were great, very accommodating for us. The check in was super quick, they told us our room number and took us to it, none of this typing on a computer, give us your full address and car reg etc. The room was fab, really big (plenty of places to put the dogs bed) and beautifully furnished. The tea and coffee facilities were top notch with a lovely bag of biscuits wrapped with a ribbon. It's little things like this that makes a difference. We opted to eat in the bar area as we wanted the dogs with us. At no point were we told they couldn't go somewhere, we just assumed not to go in the restaurant. The food was good although a little on the pricey side for what you got but we really enjoyed it. Breakfast the next morning was not so good (explained in the next section). We went for a lovely walk with our dogs the next morning before leaving and had the chance to admire the beautiful grounds. For me it was a 4 out of 5 (see what didn't you like section) but for anyone wanting to treat themselves and their doggies to a lovely break i highly recommend. For those of you not keen on dogs, although i think this was one of the best dog friendly hotels, don't let it put you off. It's not overun with dogs and is incredibly clean and tidy!
There were onlya couple of things not to like, the breakfast being one of them. My eggs benedict was cold ao had to be sent back and we had to ask for toast (which everyone else seemed to get but us). For non residents they charge £20 for brekkie. My eggs were good but not great , my husbands full breakfast looked quite dry (too posh for beans) but it's all down to what you like. The only other down side was that the shower wasn't hot, just tepid. The sink and bath taps both produced scolding hot water so in the end resorted to using the hand held shower attachment (for me this was a big disappointment as our shower at home isn't working ans i was really looking forward to one)
Characterful building set in lovely surroundings. Very helpful staff. Wonderful suite with large bedroom, nice separate lounge and well equipped bathroom.
Loose tap in washbasin. Shower door leaked water badly. Bathroom door had peeling paintwork. Door to suite was a dirty white cheap looking basic Fire door that you see in a cheap hotel or guest house, not a country house hotel. For £380 a night these basics should be fixed and right.
The food at this hotel is excellent. Lovely building sympathetically decorated. Spa rather busy on the Sunday.....Monday much better.
Synthetic pillows. Attention to detail on cleaning & décor refurb not 100%
Super welcoming and helpful staff!
The bath was dirty.
Friendly staff, big comfortable rooms, good breakfast and nice spa
Fantastic facilities and lovely room. Spa was great and so were the massages! We were celebrating a couple of special occasions and the staff went to an extra effort to acknowledge this. Some staff fantastic in their customer service. Food also very good - and not small portions like some reviews suggest. Would highly recommend this hotel and spa if you want to get away to recharge the batteries and escape for a weekend. Really memorable.
Some of the restaurant/brasserie staff were not well-trained at all. Need some confidence and training in their food and wine knowledge!
