The hotel was nice and friendly. Only downside were tthe bed which was two singles pushed together and reception sometime wasn't staffed. Otherwise very happy stay,
Staff were not that friendly
Pleasant bar and lounge area. Large beds in twin room Large bath towels Large room and bathroom
Welcome felt a bit cold No heating on in room on very cold day-had to sit in my coat for an hour after switching heater on.
Double bed, towels etc
Single bed was put you up, stated on invoice suitable for 2 yr old, daughter 15 she was OK, but we required a family room and it suited us.
Easy check in. Central location to village. Parking next to hotel and included in room price. Train station from doorrage about 15 min walk, easy travel then to Birmingham. Plenty of places to eat and lively pubs. Rooms are large king size bed and very comfortable. Didn't have any meals but from what I saw they were always plenty eating and food looked really good, prices were fair. Will defiantly be staying again.
Nothing really negative, if you have mobility problems you need to request the 1st few rooms as there are stairs to other rooms. Could have put try for kettle etc, also hand rail for getting out of shower, but only been picky.
Clean comfortable room, friendly helpful staff, local places to eat & nice area.
Staff very helpful at all times. The room was spotless with extra pillows for your comfort. Food in the restaurant was of a high standard with a varied menu.
Nothing everything was excellent.
Large bedroom. Large double bed. Powerful shower.
Obscured glass in windows. Poor staff to client ratio. Staff are expected to run the reception desk and organise breakfast concurrently. Tired and damaged bedroom furniture. Fire alarm sounding briefly with no staff on hand to reassure residents!
Friendly staff, lovely rooms, great food.
Get to the gym early - it was very busy at 6pm!!
Comfy Bed, great bathroom and powerful shower. Very Varied menu.
The room was a good size with a very large bed and good sized bathroom. The staff were welcoming and obliging.Good size large towels.
Great hotel, friendly staff
Stayed one night while attending a show at the NEC. Very pleased with everything, clean & comfortable room with an enormous bed, courteous staff, good pub style food in the restaurant. I would certainly stay again.
My room was at the front of the hotel facing the road so there was a little traffic noise, but it's not a busy road & this really was not a problem.
Telephone on answers machine. Not much good when you are asking for directions. Address for this hotel is incorrect on bookings .com correct address is knowle high street not Solihull. Coordinates also incorrect.
Noise from High St
Well appointed comfortable room, pleasant bar area.good breakfast.
The wait for our evening meal.
size of room, iron, clean, nice bed & bedding, nice bathroom. cleaning ladies were the nicest & the most helpfull of all the staff there.
no shower cap, lack of toiletries, only 2 teabags in room.receptionist very nice but we had to wait a very long time for her to appear, rest of staff not rude as such but not very friendly either. breakfast very nice but very very slow, not enough staff.
hotel was nice and clean
2 single beds joint together so didn't have a good night sleep
price of a glass of coke
location near other facilities and to city
Bright and spacious. Very clean. Very polite staff. Spotless rooms and same for bathrooms. Good food for dinner and ditto breakfast. Free parking. Great value for money.
Hot water and good showers. Sauna good when working (one day out of five). Beds comfortable.
Breakfasts terrible worst I've ever had cold tea and coffee you make yourself from a giant water tainted flask even the lattes we ordered instead were cold. Sausages disgusting in thick condom type skin. Rooms full of condensation from cheap wall heaters from the 60s. No telephone service can't even call another room. Have to order room service at reception and only till 21.30! I could go on.
Size of room, location of hotel
Toiletries (but you get what you pay for, so fair enough) No reception staff to check in - had to wait for her to finish on the bar before coming to us. Nice girl and friendly but we had to hang around too long. Checking out, the receptionist shouted at us (raised her voice to us, lowered it to another stff member) and whilst checking us out was more preoccupied with chatting to housekeeping about the room shed used last night. Make the guest your sole focus!
Decor,Needs a lick of paint
The very Excellent breakfast
