Hotel was ideally situated, right in the middle of Knowles. Breakfast was good and checkin/out was easy
One room had an unpleasant smell - smell of damp. Staff gave us a plug-in air freshner!
the hotel was nice in nice location
very noisy room had to call reception to ask them to turn off what ever it was that was making the row and they did this
no lift. Good parking but "off" the hotel and not under secure cameras.
Good staff, food & cleanliness, free parking, TV worked fine, kettle etc. all good. Quiet corridor during night, fan provided.
Room was good, no outlook, slightly scruffy paintwork under windowsill, Broken toilet seat in bathroom.
Cloud Wi Fi I am already getting unwanted e-mails from them The Greswold was my sixth hotel & none of the others were as difficult.
Easy access from motorway and located in attractive village of Knowledge which has many good restaurants. Staff very helpful. Will definitely return if can have a room at rear.
Sleep was disturbed by what sounded like an extractor fan above us, possibly from the bar. Otherwise hotel was quiet.
Size of bar and restaurant; exterior seating area; Knowle itself;
The basic lack of provisions in the bathroom, eg shampoo; barely enough tea bags and milk in room. Profits are important but you should never overlook the simple things that provide a welcoming, caring experience.
Nice hotel for an overnight stop. Good sized room, clean and comfortable.
Despite advising in advance that my wife was gluten intolerant, there was no availability of gluten free bread or cereal at the breakfast.
Loved the decor. Very vintage yet had modern touches. Very comfortable bed and all the facilities you could expect to see.
We stayed in the suite which was a pain to get too. Up and down several flights of stairs and was even worse having to carry all the bags through
Location, professionalism of staff, good food, comfortable rooms
Nothing to dislike, maybe some of the hall carpets looked a bit tired but nothing serious
Good location, excellent Car parking
No fridge in the room No safety deposit box in the room Bedroom above kitchen vent so we got cooking smells
My room was cleaned spotlessly, all of the staff were polite and helpful
The halls smelt of shower at around 11pm
I asked for a request and it was granted, room was clean, quite. Staff was really friendly and helpful.
Large comfortable room with huge comfortable bed. Unfortunately as we needed to check out at 7-30ish on a Sunday morning no breakfast was available.
Fantastic room, great food, free wifi. great job folks
No room service
The separate car park meant carrying luggage in a bit tricky and there were lots of steps up and down the corridors. My double room was a good size and well equippped but it faced the road and so it was quite noisy nit very private and even on Sunday morning the road was busy.Having said that the hotel was quiet and I did not hear any lther guests. My room was very hot but there was a small can which I managed to move nearer the bed. I thought the breakfast was very poor quality food. I had the vegetarian option. The has brown very oily and there was one very small poached egg. The bread for toast was poor quality and the slide type toaster meant you could not toast the bread easily.
Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Excellent meal at night and had gluten free bread for my toast.
Breakfast on Sunday was poor quality. It was dry and had been kept warm for a long time. Much better on Monday when it was cooked fresh
Shower too short and too small. Outlets for hairdryer not practical
Perfect location for easy access to NEC.
Location is ideal as we are in a long distant relationship - London/Manchester. Staff is always accommodating and the bar is nice and quiet. No sports or football needed.
Price, staff attitude poor
Long wait for cooked breakfast-around 45 minutes!
Room was fairly quiet for a busy pub
No lift and I had a suitcase My window was frosted and looked out onto an enclosed rooftop with air con units constantly running. Big cracks in the ceiling TV remote was missing only noticed at 5am when I couldn't sleep
