food and relaxed bar atmosphere with the music in the background
not enough coffee / tea in room , no complimentary biscuits etc if arrving late at night.
Good location and relatively quiet given its High Street position. Easy access from all directions and lots of facilities locally.
At breakfast despite the waitress bringing fresh coffee straight from the kitchen in a thermal jug it was TEPID and tasted second-rate. Cost of breakfast on the high side for what it was.
good overall effort and presentation
hot steak on afreezing cold plate.this means the steak gets cold before you are half way through eating it. Lager beer lines need cleaning . two of the lagers were smelling and tasteing of diacetyl . Cask beers were ok.
Good value Friendly staff
Bedroom on first floor - two staircases to carry cases etc. Car Park facilities.
Staff very friendly and breakfast was very good.
Breakfast times in brochure wrong.Telephone system did not seem to be working
Brilliant Restaurant food was 10/10, with a nice bar area ... Friendly helpful staff throughout ...
Beds were not comfy and a double is two singles pushed together :( plus spiders in curtains which came out at night time and covered the window area :(
Gym and sauna facility, situated in nice area. Room was a big size, Comfertable bed.
Side of bath was falling off however didn't effect anything so wasn't bad
Decor was tired.
Beer and bar area
Once again I had a room in a hotel where a noisy extractor fan ran all night somewhere nearby. So I had to sleep with the window shut and was too hot
Great price at 45 for a double room.
Extra pillows were in the room on arrival as requested. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and smelled fresh.
A bit warm but a fan was provided so not too bad.
Huge comfortable bed!
Food service very slow
Nicely appointed room with very comfortable bed. Clean and tidy with pleasant, helpful and friendly staff.....

Hotel was ideally situated, right in the middle of Knowles. Breakfast was good and checkin/out was easy
One room had an unpleasant smell - smell of damp. Staff gave us a plug-in air freshner!
the hotel was nice in nice location
very noisy room had to call reception to ask them to turn off what ever it was that was making the row and they did this
no lift. Good parking but "off" the hotel and not under secure cameras.
Good staff, food & cleanliness, free parking, TV worked fine, kettle etc. all good. Quiet corridor during night, fan provided.
Room was good, no outlook, slightly scruffy paintwork under windowsill, Broken toilet seat in bathroom.
I arrived early, so had lunch before checking in. An excellent meal served by helpful staff made the start of my stay most enjoyable. The room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. I'd had a tiring journey prior to my arrival, so I was grateful to be able to get my head down for a couple of hours before my evening meal. Opposite the hotel is an excellent Asian restaurant and a very good Chinese Take Away. There is also a cash machine conveniently situated a short distance away from the hotel. Despite being on the main road through Knowle, the room was very quiet. So no problem sleeping at night.
Toilet in the en-suite too close to the wall
Cloud Wi Fi I am already getting unwanted e-mails from them The Greswold was my sixth hotel & none of the others were as difficult.
Easy access from motorway and located in attractive village of Knowledge which has many good restaurants. Staff very helpful. Will definitely return if can have a room at rear.
Sleep was disturbed by what sounded like an extractor fan above us, possibly from the bar. Otherwise hotel was quiet.
Size of bar and restaurant; exterior seating area; Knowle itself;
The basic lack of provisions in the bathroom, eg shampoo; barely enough tea bags and milk in room. Profits are important but you should never overlook the simple things that provide a welcoming, caring experience.
Handy for the NEC Comfortable room
Couldn't sleep with window open because of some extractor fan or similar noise
Nice hotel for an overnight stop. Good sized room, clean and comfortable.
Despite advising in advance that my wife was gluten intolerant, there was no availability of gluten free bread or cereal at the breakfast.
