Lovely old coaching hotel with a really nice atmosphere. Good food and facilities
My room was OK but road through Lutterworth can get busy and I suspect rooms at front of hotel could be quite noisy.
location decore staff breakfast
loud music till late uncomfortable bed and pillows
Everything As a visitor from Armenia it was everything an olde world British hotel should be
V friendly, welcoming. Excellent food. Very good wine list
Great location for business in the local area. Plenty of character and delicious food
Nice hotel, friendly staff, excellent good.
food served from 7.00, earlier would be better and were only offerin A La Carte menu in the bar
Cosy feel to the place. Breakfast on time at 7.00 am.
Great food, excellent choice at breakfast, great beer, well-stocked bar, charming decor and yard.
Double room really should be a single, had to push bed against wardrobe to get around easily.
friendly restaurant staff food nice
room very cold - the radiators in the room and bathroom went off at about 9pm and didn't come back on till 7am. That's a long time to have no heating on a January night !
Loved the building, staff were superb and the evening meal was fantastic, would highly recommend.
The two flights of stairs were quite steep, we weren't overly fond of the mattress but maybe we are just used to a foam one, it wouldn't put us off coming back though.
A good atmosphere and clean environment. Staff very helpful and friendly.
The room was very noisy. Could hear man in room next to me snoring and the couple talking. Walls on connection bathrooms very thin. It's a shame as otherwise a nice place to stay. I paid £90 for room. My friends booked on another site and paid £80. So shop around. It feels a little pricey. I think £65 would be about right.
Good location Good modern en suite Excellent wi fi coverage
No easy parking. Room smelt overwhelmingly of febreze type product which seemed embedded in upholstery and bed cushions and maybe carpet. Unpleasant.
very clean and well-appointed hotel. Good breakfast. We did not take any other meals. Owner and staff were very attentive.
unfortunately bar was closed on Boxing evening although owner did sell bottles of wine and allow us to sit in the bar.
Love the cosiness of the Hotel - very quirky too. Every room is different and has its own 'character', which is lovely. The breakfasts are excellent & staff are very friendly & helpful.
In our particular en-suite, there was a blockage somewhere in the wash-basin waste as the water took an age to go down the plug-hole! The flushing system was rather antiquated too. Really weak.
Staff were brilliant. Gluten Free Breakfast (prior notice given). Most everything except >>>
No Gluten Free biscuits or variety of tea in room, Rattling sashes (all night), Flat pillows, Dirty bath, Bathroom could do with a spruce up. Overall I was a bit disappointed with the room bearing in mind the public areas are very smart (I have eaten there several times over the past 2 years) - I thought the accommodation might be of a similar standard.
Traffic noise on Monday morning was horrendous! The wi-fi was very patchy.
the old world feel, breakfast, staff is very helpful
the stairs can be a challenge with a lot of luggage
Breakfast was good, staff friendly and good location for business I was on
Parking was a pay and display, room door didn't close very well and I ended up leaving a jar on several occasions without noticing
The back of the hotel was lovely although I didn't get to enjoy it much as the weather was poor. Breakfast was great better then I thought it would be going by the evening meal the night before, the guy on breakfast shift was funny, welcoming and cooked my breakfast exactly how I wanted it! The room was comfortable if a little dated but the bed was really good, great nights sleep!
The creaky corridors and uneven floor were a little off putting but I guess that comes with the age of the building and nothing the staff can do about that! The stairs leading up to the rooms lead to an open area which was acting as a store room for the conference suit, this could be a gorgeous space with real fire etc but looked cluttered with hot plates and serving areas sitting there. Coming from a hotel management background I'm probably more picky then most but overall it was a good stay!
Central location on main thoroughfare. Appearance of traditional hostelry.
Room provided required shuffling sideways to get around bed in middle of room. Shower head fixed at armpit height. Very poor wifi. Below average breakfast. Very poor attitude of owner when I decided that one night was quite enough thank you.
Food, atmosphere, comfort and hospitality were excellent
Nothing to dislike!
The room we had was excellent. Got a 4 poster bed as a treat for the wife. Wifi was excellent at all locations. Food in the restaurant including breakfast was excellent and very friendly staff.
Only 2 small things, bothe in the en suite. Firstly the extractor fan was noisy and quite annoying and secondly these day we are getting on but anyone older might have trouble using a bath type shower, slipping is too easy and the floor does get very wet.
Great atmosphere really old and quaint coaching inn .Lots of character .good night sleep and freshly cooked breakfast .Will stay again
Excellent breakfast Polite & friendly staff
