It was close to a venue we was going to, so great location for us.rooms were fine for what we wanted they was clean and good for the stay. Pub hotel with restaurant, breakfast was good with plenty of coffee.
The view we had was of a car park and bins.but we only needed a place to stay for the night.
The Inn was quite a surprise!
The booking said a full English breakfast included and we had to pay for it.
Good sized room with comfy bed and everything you could want. Friendly staff.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The dining area was tastefully designed.
Thought the bedroom seemed a little tired and could have done with a lick of paint.
Lack of facilities such as sockets, hairdryer. Towels for one person provided but none for the other. Lack of refreshments and toiletries available in room. Shortage of comfortable seating in lounge.
location and breakfast good
Front rooms noisy and sat ni noisy
The hotel is lovely, clean and very well presented. It's a shame for the quality of sleep, see other comment.
This hotel would be lovely for a wedding booking for the hotel or another group function for the reason being that they seem to cater until late night to outside customers. Our room was right above the bar and restaurant. The speakers are on the walls in every corner and as it gets later in the evening there are more people visiting and then the music goes up and it gets louder and louder. Finally late hours of the night when few people go to their rooms you hear everything even though they are chatting quietly! They should only rent out rooms to people in the parties below considering there are few rooms. Rooms are beautiful, is a shame you cannot sleep cause of all the noise. And we had a meal in the restaurant, perky setting but we were the only customers on a Saturday night at 8pm! Very strange. My husband couldn't eat his Greasy burger and my mushroom Wellington was way over priced at £16. They did not charge for the burger and we got £10 taken off our £75 room. Like I said a nice place but needs soon rethinking.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over at the Greyhound Inn. It was very comfortable and cosy and the staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay again if in the area.
The food was excellent and the bed very soft.
noise from road and other customers going up to their rooms eventually at 4.30am. (We had to leave the windows open due to hot weather).
staff well on top of things, service prompt and nothing to criticise. Just what was required.
Very friendly staff
Bedroom chairs tatty , too many blown light bulbs and bedside lamp shades require replacing .
good location and breakfast friendly staff
leisure area outside was untidy and seating a little shabby
Location, friendly staff, style of room
Cracked toilet seat.
The staff though young and inexperienced were eager to please. The suit was lovely.
Asked for light bulbs to be fixed but they weren't . No bath mat. No hair dryer. No bottled water.
nice classic style rooms with tudor beams
noise from kitchen extractor fan
Rooms looked cosy, beds comfy. Bathroom very clean.
Wish there was some warning of how loud the thumping music would be until 12pm at night! Then music being played again from 8am! Not a place to stay if u want a good nights sleep!
The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Room very clean and light.
TV in bedroom not connected, but only there one night, so not really bothered.
The staff were friendly, and the beer was good, it's situated in a great location with ample parking.
The staff weren't very effective, we were a group of 6 who booked 3 rooms, only one had been booked, they tried to split 4 of us to other hotels, and had to be advised to move other people who hadn't arrived yet. The staff seemed leaderless, and are all young. At breakfast there were no menus out, orders were taken out of sequence, and there were no condiments available. Room 12 smelled of damp, the curtains were falling off, you had to be a size 10 to use the toilet, the shower door was broken and the wifi didn't work.
The layout of the bedrooms Nice dining area
Poor breakfast service - had to ask for nearly everything on buffet table to be restocked continually. Noisy at night with people waiting for taxi's which were parked in car park. Rooms would of been much nicer if only valance sheets were fitted instead of just seeing the divan frames.
The staff were all particularly helpful and charming.
The noise and music late into the night from the bar. We stayed only the one night, we had originally planned on two nights, due to the above. Overall our stay was a disappointment as the experience did not live up to our expectations gained from the website.
No blind/curtain in the bathroom with clear glass. Very poor wi-fi reception. Dried paint in the bath.
room was very grubby for Master suite, very noisy as drinkers were directly below window, light shone in and smell of smoking were all contributory to a sleepless night,no mattress protectors on bed. Cooked breakfast was exceptional and room cost was discounted when issues were raised.
The room was very quaint exposed beams, the food was good but larger portions would have been better (I'm a big eater)
The vibration from the kitchen fans waking us up at 7.00am. work was being carried out at the time of our stay which wasn't stated when we booked,m however this did not disrupt our stay. I little more attention to the cleaning of the bathroom wall tiles was required to the side of the wash basin
Food, bar, staff welcome etc
Rooms a bit tatty. Small.
