It is small hotel above a pub a short walk to everything. It is only 10-15 walk from train station. The room and bathroom are decent size. There is free WIFI and tea coffee in room. The full english breakfast was really good and well prepared.
The carpet in room is dirty.
excellent breakfast central location friendly staff
Central location Friendly staff Excellent breakfast
old building. uncomfortable bed.feels like the building is going to fall down
location and reasonable cost for new year break
nothing to dislike
Good breakfast. Comfy room
Took a while to work out hot water tap direction in shower.
Location was excellent Breakfast was good
Very cold in the room, heating was ineffective Shower In morning was powerful, but only luke warm, not great when it's already a cold room Advertised as large bed, but this was 2 singles pushed together and the matresses were very soft which both caused you to only be able to lay in one place, where the dip was in the middle The room was very small so with a very large bed it completely filled the room. A smaller bed, allowing more space would have been better
Probably the staff were good and helpful especially after I decided to leave on the same day because of the poor quality of the hotel. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.
The stairs are horrible, there are only 8 small rooms in this hotel/ house. The room I was given was small, carpet and part of the wall dirty. Only one small window so if you are used to fresh air and space this is not the right place. I could not stay that night but the staff were very understanding especially when I explained the reason why.
Super Close to Bath Town Centre Breakfast Was Excellent Service was outstanding
Room was un level & bed headboard kept falling down No Parking Nearby
Staff were great, friendly and really helpful, breakfast was delicious, location brilliant, bed in room 5 was so comfortable. I couldn't fault it.
Great location, although breakfast was a let down, would stay again as room only. Staff were lovely.
Breakfast cold, toaster broken and not replaced, no marmalade and was not there next morning after being requested. Bread was written on menu as being from local bakery, however was Hovis in bread bin.
I was made to feel welcome by all the staff who were very friendly and very helpful.
This hotel had great staff, which went out of their way to help me out throughout my stay! The toilets were really clean and my stay was highly pleasant! The hotel was very central, with a bar on ground floor, which made the environment highly vibrant!
The bed was a bit broken but it wasn't a big problem. The window did not shut properly, making it a bit noisy during the day time but not a problem during the night. Stairway was narrow and it was tough to carry luggage without a lift.
Staff always smiling and helpful. The bathroom I had outside room nr. 8 was quite new. Very good!
Room nr. 8. It was an old room and from one wall to another it must be a difference of 2 - 4 inches. It was all out of level. Actually during the night I had to pull my self up in the bed several times. But the bed it self was good.
The young girl that checked me in was lovely and helpful. She did a great job considering at the time I checked in she was the only person working the bar as well
No hot water by 7.30pm, heating only worked on low and no extra blanket in room, bed was broken. The guy that served breakfast was rude and when it came to check out had no idea what to do - had to get the chef to help him
Clean and tidy
Too noisy at night
Nice Room, Nice Service and Nice location
All staff very good care usher people n guide dog. Staff warm firend.
A small and very cozy inn. Rooms are small, but bear the atmosphere. There is no reception, but the bartender (who is a receptionist) is there when the pub is open. A very good breakfast. Well-located.
The room is very small and the stairs are very steep. No sound-proofing at all.
Very comfy bed great breakfast
Good food, comfortable rooms, and very good staff.
Location to town centre excellent
no housekeeper on duty over weekend we stayed so no bins emptied or tea/coffee topped up.had to ask for extra loo roll. The staff did provide these things quickly when we asked for them
Lovely character, great location, very clean and warm, nice bathroom. Good breakfast and plesant staff.
Thin walls I could hear every word from the people in the next room even with TV on so I did not sleep well which was a problem for work the next day. Steep small stairs, would be difficult for some people to manage.
beautiful old pub with delightful friendly staff who were very welcoming and helpful. Lovely comfortable room.
no soap in dispenser but everything else was fabulous
Really loved the Griffin Inn, everything was perfect, staffs were helpful, room was clean , comfortable and quite, breakfast was decent as well, etc. As I said:Great! Great! The only thing I could think of is great!
