The staff were fantastic, from check in to departure, from room maid to restaurant staff, polite, friendly and helpfull. We also had our dog Marmite with us and they could not have made him more welcome, dog bowls in the room and setting special area in the restuarant and for breakfast. nothing. 10 out of 10 for the Groes and its staff.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was good and fairly priced. The full Welsh Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were clean and well appointed and pleasing to see the Molton Brown toiletries are still supplied. No adverse comments.

Very friendly staff and greAt location. If I was being fussy, the room we stayed in was cold for the first few hours, but this was nothing more than nit- picking!

Extremely comfortably bed. Spacious and well appointed bathroom. Good views of countryside from room. Would have no hesitation recommending this hotel. Booked restaurant for 8.30pm but we felt that our meal was rushed as we were told that the kichen was closing. The food though, was very good.

A friendly and informal atmosphere. In the absence of a heated towel rail, a change of fresh dry towels would have been appreciated. Our room didn't look quite like those that were advertised. An extra comfortable armchair would have been appreciated.

We loved the welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived! The waitresses were really efficient , friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was excellent , very spacious with its own little garden and stunning views of the countryside. The food was delicious , well cooked and well presented on hot plates which again was a good feature. We felt really relaxed and would definitely make a return visit. A little Welsh Gem!

I had looked at 4 other nearby hotels online and they were all really ugly so we would rather have stayed home. The Groes Inn looked pretty and charming and it fulfilled its promise: good for you. We would definitely come again.

It's a lovely old Inn and I used to go there many years ago so it still can pull people back ! There should be information for a local GP (physician) and during non surgery hours in case of emergency.

The room was large and very clean, check in and out was quick and simple. Location good for seeing north Wales. The breakfast was large in quantity and very tasty but would have preferred some self service for the juice and cereals as had to wait for top ups and could'nt see the fresh fruit and yoghurt.
