The Grosvenor Plymouth  

The staff are The Grosvenor's greatest asset. They couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect for my needs.

Not a huge problem, but the hotel decor and furniture is quite shabby and tired looking. The bathrooms could be improved. My hand basin had a large crack in it and the room carpet was worn and had that greasy look that cheap carpets get after a few years. The amount of stairs may be a problem to some but think of the benefit to your heart! A warning to others, I parked overnight in the street and got a parking ticket on Sunday morning; so check the signs.

Room was very comfortable and the bath was wonderful.

I had the family room which was a little cramped with a double and two singles. May have been better as just a double.

Was very near to where i was atending my meetings the staff were very friendly and very helpful to me. the room was also very nice for a short stay. The breakfast was very nice to. nothing was to much trouble if i needed anything. Was a very pleasent stay at this hotel.

Perfect location for us to walk to the Hoe, it was essential that we had a car parking space which we did, thankfully, otherwise this would have been v inconvenient. V good value for the price and nice breakfast, although could have had fresh fruit to make it even better.

Seagulls were a tad squawkey through the night, but slept well overall. We were on the top floor which was fine for us as we are fit but for a less able person would have been difficult.

Our stay was for 1 night . We thought the hotel as wonderful the staff were so helpful a really enjoyable stay

Reception staff friendly and helpful. Hotel premises and room were clean, light and airy - nice big windows and high ceilings.

Everything for me was spoiled by the lack of sound insulation from the room above mine; every footstep; doors/drawers being opened and closed; conversation; all could be heard loudly and clearly into the early hours, and ruined what would otherwise have been a pleasant visit. I would not stay here again because of this.

I may be a single person but the view didn't do much for me in room 1! How come hotels always make singles feel like second class citizens?

It was a very clean and comfortable hotel, with friendly staff and a good breakfast.

Fantastic stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Shared the family room with 2 other friends, and there was plenty of room.

The room got pretty warm in the night. We opened the window, but it didn't open very far, so didn't help much.

Friendly staff,decent breakfast,good location for local attractions,2 minute walk from the Hoe.The website points out some of the lack of facilities,so may not suit all guests ie. no lift and only six parking spaces but plenty of on-street parking for £3 a day from Hotel reception.

There is some noise from stairs and floors above but this should be expected from a building of this age.

No lift - My wife has had a hip operation and found the stairs to the top floor very difficult

It was location only 10 minutes from the Barbican and not much further to walk into the city centre. Situation on the Hoe and was only a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Limited parking so get there early although there is paid parking on the street. Breakfast was very good, this hotel does not provide lunch or evening meals.

My single room was close to the main stairs and I heard everyone walking up and down the stairs, it was a little loud. Bar was expensive for the class of hotel.
