Food good- Staff very helpful.
Room too warm. Traffic noise.
Stayed at the Grove as friends had booked the function suite for their wedding. Hotel rooms were adequate, but I have to be honest, the bed was awful, and probably one of the worst I've encountered in a hotel bedroom. The double was small, and the mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable.
See above, got carried away.
I found the bedroom decoration very dated
Clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money. Nice area of Wallasey.
Room too hot. Traffic noise.
We had a problem with the hot water in our room and it fixed without any issues in no time flat. Very attentive staff keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay, and we did!
Large, well furnished, clean room Great value for money 5 minute walk to railway station for frequent and inexpensive travel into central Liverpool (journey takes about 20 mins) 15 minute walk to seafront
Friendly and helpful staff. Everything was of a very high standard - particularly the buffet we enjoyed after attending a funeral. Room was good with plenty of room.
Can't think of anything.
Location was good. Car parking safe. Cleanliness good. Tea biscuits fruit crisps in the room. Bar open ok. Didn't eat there but restaurant busy. Staff very nice. Nice back garden.
Had a front road side room therefore road noise. Bathroom had great light but no curtain or blind so when sun rose the sunlight shone through the door gaps and lit up the whole bedroom.
Excellent customer service - staff very polite and helpful Excellent beds, faciliting a good night's sleep Good breakfasts
Access to certain parts of the hotel was a bit cramped
The position is good and the Receptionist was excellent in trying to sort out the fact there was no booking for us the second night despite the fact it had been confirmed. She wanted to make things better but was stopped by the owner who undid the offer she had made to us.
- The owners were very unhelpful and seemed to think it was not their problem that our booking had been lost. They purport to be a family hotel and should have stepped up to be more helpful than they were. - The restaurant was ok but the food was mediocre.
nothing to dislike
Staff were friendly and attentive and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble Rooms was large and comfortable Food was excellent
Nothing to dislike
Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast. Lovely garden area and grounds.
facilities, food, staff were excellent, garden beautiful
my husband complained about the taste of the beer, . we were unable to enter the front of the hotel to the function rooms, probably more noticeable because it was a very wet day.
The hotel offers a wonderful sense of luxury and elegance with a relaxed atmosphere. The fine dining experience was excellent and delivered with ease. We were also welcomed and made to feel comfortable arriving back sweaty from a run or a bike ride. Will definitely be returning.
Being on a business trip I had very long and tiring days and eating in a restaurant alone is very unappealing and I do not like having to do it but this hotel provides room service at no extra cost and are very accommodating which makes for a very pleasant stay.
I requested that I have a bath in my room on both occasions and both times I got put into a room and had to call down and get moved to where there was a bath which is a little disruptive but not a big issue. Just maybe read the notes.
friendliness of staff, good breakfast and generous size room
went to wedding function and no direct access fromreception to function room - had to go outside in pouring rain
Just ideal in every respect. Wouldn't single anything out particularly. Just excellent and so friendly.
Handy location. Helpful staff and a comfortable bed.
Traffic noise at the front with the window open.
Polite staff. Food excellent.
Nothing at all.
Comfortable bed with good pillows. Compact, clean room. Hotel a short walk from the centre of New Brighton.
Convenient location, facilities.
stairs (no lift)
Wonderful friendly, helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Food is SO good! Location is perfect - close to railway station. Rooms are traditional and comfortable.
Nothing. Love everything.
We were attending a family celebration in the area. The location was perfect for us with plenty of parking. The hotel was clean and well presented and the staff were great. Unfortunately, we did not eat in the hotel, so we can't comment. Excellent value for money!
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb. Good value.
It was just outside New Brighton main drag (but that my fault not the hotel's). Bed felt a bit cheap and not that comfortable. No protectors on the pillows
