Genuinely warm family atmosphere, kitchen as part of the suit, close to seaside and lovely downs walks, parking in front of the house. Above all - owners instantly feel like old friends both to visiting children and parents. Would highly recommend to families with children.

Like being in ones home as it has all the comforts you need. Have stayed before so knew the location & accommodation, the hospitality that Carl & Sarah show you is excellent. Will stay every time that I am in the area.

Apart from the great location the guesthouse east has everything a family needs for a break.complete home comforts and a great relaxing,friendly atmosphere. The owners Carl and Sarah are fantastic hosts...nothing is a hassle! They were more than accommadating for our needs.would highly recommend a stay here as we will definitely be staying there again.

Clean, friendly, family b&b, very accommodating and helpful. Good breakfasts but option of self-catering if required. Excellent location for sea front and town centre facilities. We really enjoyed our stay.

Really friendly and relaxed-perfect for us as a family with young children- the kitchen area was really useful-we even put our son down to sleep in there rather than have him in the room with us! Breakfast area was good for practicality reasons but did not offer much in the form of luxury!

This was a very welcoming place. Our room was lovely with the bonus of a very well-stocked kitchen (plenty of utensils, etc). Sue and Carl (who run the Guesthouse East) were delightful and you felt that nothing would be too much trouble for them. We would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

The owners Carl and Sarah were like family. Nothing was to much trouble for them. They were full of infomation of the area. I arrived late from an overseas flight and they welcomed me with ahot drink and time for a chat, even although they have 2 delightful young children. Breakfasts were fabulous and all food grilled and so healthy. So much so I had cooked breakfast 2 days in a row. The day I left they were all on teh doorstep waving me off. I would highly recommend this guest house as just being like at home with lovely hosts. As a runner Carl gave me places to run and invited me to join the local run one evening.

Excellent guesthouse only 100 meters from the sea. The owners, Carl and Sarah, are extremely friendly and helpful. Carl's porridge at the breakfast justifies by itself the stay at the guesthouse. If you go to Eastbourne we recommend that you stay at The Guesthouse East.

After a long trip we arrived late for check in but the staff were fantastic. They waited up, checked us in and even made us a hot pot of tea. Yes there were a lot of stairs but we were all fit and healthy enough to climb them. Breakfast the next morning was lovely. We would stay again but next time for longer. Anne-Maree

We liked the very friendly guest house owners and the service they provided. The location is calmly, very well placed to go to the beach (200 yards) and to visit Beachy Head (approx. 3 miles away). Last, but not least, there are a lot of restaurants around the corner.

Large family room. Comfortable beds. Recently refurbished. Everything had a "fresh" feeling to it. Very serviceminded and nice owners. The entire family loved the place. Definitiley a B&B we would recommend. The common area was not finished and when it is breakfast should be included in the price. No fan in the room.

The owners, Sarah and Carl were very welcoming and made us feel right at home the minute we walked in. The room was lovely and the location was absolutely great, only 50m from the sea front.

Sehr nette Gatsgeber, man hat das Gefühl mit der Familie zu leben. Die Zimmer sind alle unterschiedlich und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Lage ist optimal zwischen Ortskern und Strand. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sarah und Carl haben uns freundlich und warm empfangen und waren sehr gute Gastgeber. Es ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um die wunderschöne Umgebung zu entdecken. Das Frühstück war hervorragend, ganz besonders das Porridge. Alles in allem haben wir das Guesthouse east als ein familienfreundliches und attraktives b&b angetroffen und diesen Eindruck auch bis zum Ende behalten. Bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt werden wir darauf achten, ein Zimmer in den oberen Etagen zu bekommen (nicht im Souterrain, ohne Aussicht).
