The Guesthouse East  

We had an excellent stay. Sarah was very welcoming and she offered us some excellent tips for dining in Eastbourne. The room was prepared to a high standard and was impeccably clean. Breakfast was super, too. We had a great time and would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

The owners were very friendly, carried our bags from the car straight away and greeted us with a cup of tea! The room was very spacious, plenty of room for the children to play. Spotlessly clean throughout.

The only fault we had was the pillows were slightly hard for our liking, but that is personal preference! (We did swap with the children's ones, they were none the wiser!!!)

The guesthous east is a very nice gesthouse in Eastbourne with only six rooms / appartments. The owners, Sarah and Carl made us a warm welcome and gave us a plenty of good informations for our days in and around eastbourne. Thanks a lot for that. Good is also, that you have the possibility to use the kitchen included in the appartments e.g. for the breakfast (we used it because we did not want to throw away the frige content at home)...

Carl and Sarah are warm, hospitable hosts and made us feel very welcome. Good sized room. Freeview TV. Real extra bonus was having a separate kitchen - great to have a fridge and cooking facilities if you need them. Full English breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. If you're reading this because you can't decide where to stay in Eastbourne, then look no further. You won't be disappointed.

Big room with separate kitchen and bathroom. They also offered all baby things we needed: baby cot, highchair, bib and toys. Very family friendy place to stay!

The owners were realy nice, attentive and helpfull. Every question was answered with a smile and a will to resolve .

Very close to the seaside. Staff were friendly and the facilities such as free Wifi in the rooms and free parking were excellent.

Everything great, lovely family run business

Welcome from Sarah and Carl was wonderful. The guest house east is well situated for the local town, beach and pier. Eastbourne we found more relaxing and less crowded than Brighton. The guesthouse east was a beautiful place to stay, clean, friendly, spacious and welcoming..

Both Sarah and Carl made us feel warmly welocme. Their hospitality and the beautiful location made our (educational) trip to UK perfect. The girls (critical teenagers!!!) and I were thrilled.

A warm welcome, very friendly and helpfull hosts. We had a great stay during our honeymoon. The room is very spacious and beautiful. The breakfast is nog included but is a great value for money; very tasteful and good variety. The porridge is really nice! The bathroom is spacious and very clean and comfortable. We definitely recommend this B&B!

Maybe the curtain in the bathroom could be a little bit broader :) That's all we can think of, no comments at all!

Carl and Sarah are very friendly hosts, the rooms are great, we enjoyed our stay very much. Eastbourne is a little gem.

The owner, Sarah, is very nice. Bedroom was nicely appointed and the breakfast porridge was truly legendary - as described :-) location is also good. Aside from a few little things I think it's a nice place to stay in Eastbourne, and I would return - but in a different room!

A few little niggles - the grout on the bathroom floor needs bleaching as the orange staining around the toilet is not pleasant, and the toilet in our room was fitted with a mascerator which started up randomly - and noisily - through the night. I'm sure these two things are easily fixed. Also, our daughter's cot was really a playpen and the base was really hard with a mat of less than an inch over the board. Not ideal. Also, the extra charge for breakfast seemed a bit cheeky considering how much we paid for 1 night.

From our welcome to our departure, everything was done for our comfort and enjoyment. Large rooms, comfortable beds, great kitchen facilities, big bathroom. But what really sticks in our minds is the friendliness of our host and hostess and their family.

Incredibly friendly and helpful owners. Our car broke down outside the guesthouse and they brought tea and ferried our bags inside. Lovely room, good breakfast. Would definitely stay there again

After a very friendly welcome, we got a perfect room : clean, large, quiet. The fact that it had a kitchen made the stay even more comfortable. When we reported a small malfunction with the TV, Carl and Sarah insisted on fixing it as soon as possible... great service.

Great location and facility! The innkeepers were so nice and so friendly--we didn't want to leave! Can't recommend this hotel highly enough, especially for families.

The location is right to the beach with some nice walking area. The owners give us a friendly welcome and make you feel relaxed from the moment you walk through the door. Service was always with a smile and they put themselves out to make sure you enjoy yourself. We had a very comfortable spacious room, quiet and testeful.Breakfast was very good. The hole experience was perfect.

A little disappointed with the bathroom (shower screen not fitted properly, so that the shower splashed onto the floor)

Genuinely warm family atmosphere, kitchen as part of the suit, close to seaside and lovely downs walks, parking in front of the house. Above all - owners instantly feel like old friends both to visiting children and parents. Would highly recommend to families with children.

Like being in ones home as it has all the comforts you need. Have stayed before so knew the location & accommodation, the hospitality that Carl & Sarah show you is excellent. Will stay every time that I am in the area.
