everything about this hotel was perfect, i honestly cannot find fault with it. clean, comfortable, great room, lovely (and large) range of continental breakfast food which included cheeses, meats, bagels, croissants, toast etc., and really lovely staff who were very attentive and friendly. great location!!
absolutely nothing about this hotel i didn't like!
Bathrooms clean and modern Very comfortable bed
Of the three rooms, two had to be swapped. One had a terrible smell of bleach, the other was cold and smelt damp The bedrooms were pleasant, however the corridors and stairs were very tatty the breakfast was quite disappointing, it was basically toast!
2 minutes walk to shops. Excellent Thai Restaurant next door.
Low ceilings Steep stairs. Heavy luggage
From the very outset when I needed to ensure things would be ok for our stay as I was travelling with a disabled daughter jai did everything to put my mind at rest , from suitable room provision to allowing breakfast in room if necessary , the staff in circo were also utterly fabulous and treated us with individual attention that I can't fault ... We will definitely be back !!!!
Great staff and customer service. Maybe a bit over the top but it just made our stay even better
Water leaking from the ceiling on the head at night. It definitely floated our boat:D
The shower and the comfy bed!
Being on the 3rd floor with no lift!
Brilliant location Great food Helpful and friendly staff
Poor sound- proofing between rooms, noisy neighbours!!
The place was excellent with helpful staff.
Breakfast could use some scrambled eggs - only hard boiled. Otherwise delicious.
Nice friendly feel, staff attentive and position in Bath ideal. Even the parking is not a problem as a local underground car park is 2 minutes walk away.
wifi is not stable
The staff catered to my every need i asked for a few things and they in the room within minutes. The bar downstairs is absolutely brilliant. Bar tender Russ made they night, never known someone so passionate about their job. End of the night i was drunk. Brilliant
Only thing i didnt like was that i had to pay for parking. Hotel should sort out discounted parking.
Cleanliness and well trained staff
Small rooms slightly restrictive
Stayed here in august for one night, friendly staff excellent, clean and comfortable room, great location
Pretty room with character. Nice White Co toiletries. Lovely Clipper teabags in room. Great breakfast - quality produce and good presentation.
Bed a bit lumpy. Weak, tasteless tea at breakfast - Tetleys we were told, which was disappointing!
The quality was so much nicer than I was expecting for a small city
There was nothing to fault with my experience at the halcyon
Breakfast, checking out.
Small room, even smaller bathroom, stained carpets, wobbly tiles in bathroom floor, wobbly, drafty windows, room opposite 24 hr Taxi rank & very noisy.
Staff very friendly and helpful Breakfast excellent Attached Circo bar very good location
noise from Taxi rank opposite room a touch on the small side
The reception staff were extremely pleasant and attentive and we were treated quite well throughout our stay, we did not feel invisible as we have previously done in larger chain hotel reception areas. The bar staff in the cocktail lounge were excellent and very polite. The continental breakfast was quite sufficient
Our room, which was the last one available was on the small size.
The location was great, close to the major sights of Bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay in all but the summer months.
This is a historic building and as such does not have air conditioning. We stayed on a very warm night and although a fan was provided, we found this to be quite uncomfortable.
Lovely central position. Great staff very polite and helpful.
No parking - added £25 to the stay to park the car. Room was very small for a double and very hot.
This hotel had the nicest desk staff I've ever come across. Good location, easy couple of mins walk to the best tourist spots.
The wifi signal in our particular room wasn't great but the space in reception is a perfectly nice place to sit and work if you need a reliable connection.
Cleanliness of room, comfort of bed, location great, cannot fault the staff. Good allocation of tea and coffee facilities, towels etc.
No Wardrobe in allocated room, think this has been mentioned in other reviews. The bed dominates the room. Space tight getting into bathroom. No proper stair handrail prior to entering breakfast room. difficult to negotiate for people with walking difficulties. Not sure about the green tea and sweet jars etc which are chargeable to guests, think these are wasting space, not really necessary to have these items in the room.
