Bit Dusty in the Bathroom other than this Excellent all round Bed and Breakfast did upgrade our room at no extra Cost.

The half moon is quite remote yet there is no food service on a Sunday evening. Nothing - not even the offer of a sandwich.

The friendliness of the staff and the quiet location.

Friendly Land-lady and great staff. Fantastic Steak for dinner, great Poached Eggs in morning. Thoughtful availability of fresh milk for in-room coffees. Well laid out room with FREE WI-FI that worked well, despite not being in fibre-optic area. And a good deal through Booking.com

Another guest who was determined to moan.

I was attending a wedding at the nearby Hoolbrook Hotel. The Half moon in provided a much cheaper alternative to stay at in very close proximity to the event. Even the taxi company was only 2 minutes away and provided a great service to the venue. Excellent friendly staff at the Half Moon with superb clean rooms, and parking outside of room for easy access with luggage. Quiet village location, nice friendly locals in the bar. Superb value for money, hgood breakfast too! Highly reccomended

landlord and wife extremely helpful

I first stayed at the Half Moon 14 years ago because I was working in the surrounding area. We stayed for 8 months and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Andrew and Phillipa looked after us really well and the locals of the pub were all friendly and made us feel really welcome. To return 14 years later and see they were still there and had extended the pub was fantastic. The pub is in the quiet village of Horsington and like I say the food, real ales, accommodation and hospitality are second to none and I would recommend this place to all my friends if we are working in the area again. It suited our purpose (an 80th birthday party nearby), reasonably priced - and our bed was very comfortable!

It was clean on the surface but the corners did not bear close inspection. A slat fell out of our friend's bed. Neither of the showers were very effective.

Room really not clean with cobwebs and spiders all over the place, though bathroom and linen clean. Not acceptable to have dog poo left for the length of our stay, just outside the room,left from the owners dogs

shower no good . Absolutly FREEZING all nıght and central heatıng went off . sıngle duvet plus two sıngle beds pushed together not ımpressed . Towels too small cieanıness below standard

Reasonable price and quality of the meals served.

The room was very clean and well decorated. The food was good and dinner was reasonably priced.

The hotel was close to a wedding event we were attending. Hotel provided fresh milk which was very good and bottled water. It was very quiet and there was plenty of parking. It ticked all the boxes for the purpose of our stay and would suit most people who were looking to stop briefly in this beautiful part of the world.

There was dog poo immediately outside our door and lots around too. The staff didn't seem too welcoming on arrival (although they did allow us to check into our room early which was good of them). One of the rooms could definitely do with modernising and a lick of paint although the more expensive room (although we didn't pay it) was of a much higher standard.

It was convenient for our visit. The staff were friendly and the breakfast very good

Nice room, well sized, good price. Pub serving great food and drink with good staff

Internet access was a bit hit and miss, but then it is out in the sticks
