The parking was good. The staff could hardly speak any English. The room was very small. The tv did not work. There was only continental breakfast and it was only on till 9am. I wish we had known that it was only continental when booking it.

It was clean and warm- . The breakfast and the breakfast room--it was a joke !!! The place was very run down. We were asked to pay another 4per cent if we paid by debit card. Old and dreary.

Close to some relations as attending a party over the weekend. This was the worst place I have stayed at for a very long time. I stay in hotels periodically on business. When I entered the hotel first impressions were basic and not busy. I arrived on the Friday evening and met the couple who were managing. The room was fine, had trouble with the TV remote control as needed 2 remotes to switch on and select channnels. On Saturday morning I discovered that the shower did not work properly, it was at best a trickle of water! Breakfast was very basic...self service only. Selection was Tea bags(selection of teas), Instant coffee and a hot water tank dispense. Cereals (individual size), selection of 4/5. individual portions of cheese. A toaster and a white and brown loaf. There were eggs but no indication if already hard-boiled and no means of cooking them. On the Sunday morning the cold water wasn't working affecting bathrooms and toilets. This was due to an external water company maintenance but terrible timing! resolved qithin an hour. I would never stay here again. I tried to get a reduction in my bill but was offerred a paltry £3...

I attended a function at the Pinewood (next door) and the overnight stay was half the price for a single room! A bus stop direct to Stockport Rail Station (for onward southerly journey) is situated just 50m around the corner. The communal bathroom had no light (so use after dark would be a problem) and mildew around the the bath and tiles in the shower area was most off-putting but so easy to rectify with a little effort!

Perfectly adequate for a short stay or a night before a morning flight from the airport. Very pleasant and helpful foreign staff. Quiet, small hotel, but on a main, quite busy road, tea and coffee making facilities, tv and cable, heating, all perfectly fine. Very clean. Quite a bit further from the airport than I had expected (1.5miles ? and the rest). Beware : taxi driver from airport (Asian muslim) wanted to charge me as per his rates card: 18 pounds ! I insisted on the meter. Result : 11.30 livres. Following morning, back to the airport (English driver booked by hotel) : No questions asked, straight 10 pounds !

Our reception was very good and very friendly. The room was clean and bright and there was little or no disturbance from other guests. The dining room was clean and pleasant. We have always been used to en-suite facilities and were unaware of the absence of en-suite. We had not packed dressing gowns but as the bathroom was very close we soon adjusted.
