Excellent location, staff, food, range of drinks and room.
Easy access to car. Clean, warm and nice bathroom. Perfect for our needs for this trip.
felt overlooked and door handle about to fall off so felt unsafe to leave things, even if was only felt rather than actual.
Friendly staff, quiet location, great food
No wifi in room
Shower wifi and network signals bad

Having to leave
Great location and a proper village inn environment with open fire but at the same time modern with excellent facilities. Good menu and the food was above expectations. Great choice of real ales. Comfortable and modern room in adjoining stable block. Would definitely recommend and will certainly stay here again.
I stayed in the room with a wet room and the shower could do with a little more umph!
We were on our way from Scotland to Devon, and it was a great place for a stopover.
It was a comfy and friendly place where the staff cared about the customers and the rooms were comfy and clean. The food was excellent.
Lovely location, friendly staff, excellent food
Difficult to find
We liked the pub itself, staff and food was excellent, no noise at all . Will stay here again no problem, very handy for Iscoyd Park if anyone going to a wedding.
It says that the pub is 0.9 miles from Whitchurch, but it is 6 miles, but this was not a problem as the Taxi company was great and reliable.
Location was pretty.
Walls are paper thin and heard all the neighbours at all hours of the night. Mattress was very uncomfortable, springy and creaky. Curtains were thin and let all light in. Was a cold Octobers day and heating was not on during our 1 night visit. No vegeterian food option on the menu. Very noisy. Did not have a good nights sleep, was cold, noisy, did not feel rested. Started the morning with headaches.
Staff were excellent, room was spotless and very comfortable
Loved the location, the excellent value rooms and thoughtfulness of the staff. The food was good quality though the steak pie is definitely not pie. more casserole served in a filo basket.
For us the mattress was a bit firm but that is personal preference.
Food and drink.
The hotel staff were very welcoming and our room was presented well for our arrival. It was also a bonus that we could take our pet dog with us.
Location was good, food was very good as was the local beer choice. Breakfast was really nice and the staff were very pleasant as well. All very relaxed and overall a nice stay for the 2 nights we were there.
If I'm being really picky then I didn't really like the 'wet room' as a bathroom, I would have preferred a shower cubicle or a bath with shower. There was also a lack of shelf space in the bathroom and there were spiders and their webs on the corners of the room so a little more attention to detail wouldn't have gone a miss.
Staff were welcoming friendly. Evening meal food was very good . Rooms well decorated , clean , bed small but comfortable . Cooked breakfast was well cooked good choice
Breakfast was all served to the table , no self service for cereal , fruit juice etc. Poor internet access, even in the bar area it was hit or miss. Room had small jobs like curtains hanging off at the ends which could easily be fixed . No chair in bedroom Very small TV
Separate accommodation from the pub/restaurant Beer garden Décor Ambience
Location Quiet room
Uncomfortable bed No guest toiletries not even a bar of soap!
The family room was perfect with full single beds for the children - our children being 14 and 16. Excellent location for wedding at Isycot Park. Ideal location to arrive early and have a walk round the mere. Food in the pub good value and excellent.
We are good sleepers so didn't particularly bother us but the light outside our family room that showed the steps down to the other rooms was very bright. Perhaps that room should have thicker curtains
Check-out was a little early
staff attention to detail
noisy water system
The room was very clean, but rather cold. The small kitchenette was a good idea.
There were no bedside lamps. I felt that breakfast should have been included in the price, £32.50 per person without breakfast is a little steep. Just a continental breakfast would have been nice. The room was noisy and cold.
