The evening meal and breakfast was very good.
The hotel is now a completely gutted and noisy building site and is not in a safe or acceptable state to accept paying guests. We stayed for one night in a newly refurbished room at the rear of the hotel but did not get a good nights sleep due to the noise from a heat pump which kept switching on and off through out the night. Also the new double bed was very small and we could hear the TV in the next room. Unfortunately the TV in our room did not work properly due to our room having a very poor WIFI signal. I am sure that when the extensive resterations are complete it will be a more pleasant place to stay.
A good location and a good breakfast (big)
Would like to come back when the refurb is finshed
Easy access to train station Very friendly staff Value for money
A bit chaotic due to construction work - no one in reception in the morning to take my keys Decor is very seventies and needs upgrading but appreciate efforts of friendly staff Slightly uneasy about security-maybe a lock system on entrance to floors Noise from outside Can see real potential but needs some attention!!
Friendly staff and good food
Having alot of work done
Refurbished rooms will be nice when finished. Very good staff attitude, very helpful. Free Wi Fi.
Hotel like a building site in parts. Too much bare plaster on view, etc. Need to finish off some rooms completely. Small car park.
The staff were excellent.
The noise from persons outside and the road traffic was horrendous, which meant we did not get a lot of sleep.
Staff were very friendly food excellent breakfast amazing place getting a total revamp so not fair to comment work in progress but love to go back when finished
Breakfast brilliant Staff very helpful Great location
Beds uncomfortable Light didn't work Heating on and unable to turn off Windows didn't open
Our bedroom was mostly completed and fairly swish with a TV in the bathroom. Good location for going into town and for Birdfair which was the purpose of our visit,
We were not warned about the refurbishment but at the cost of our stay, probably reflected this in hindsight.
Staff are so friendly
Walls had all been stripped but not yet replastered, giving all hallways and stairs the look of a building site. Very loud drilling started downstairs about 7am (on a Saturday). I'm sure it will look better once renovated, but with such extensive work going on, you have to question if it should be open. There was certainly little chance of getting a decent night's sleep currently.
chaotic breakfast service uncompleted work takes edge of good place
The Staff always cheerful & helpful
The stairs but a lovely young lady helped with my luggage
Good rate. Newly decorated room.
Room was hot and smelly. Overhead fan not efficient and rather wobbly. Car park access in morning was inconvenient as we had to walk all around the hotel perimeter and cross another car park to reach our car! Renovation work everywhere and electrical wiring exposed on floors in corridors.
Friendliness of Staff. Location, value for money.
Bedroom needed refurbishment. Needed to be careful on stairs. no lift for elderly uncle with walking difficulty.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast very good value for money, good service in all areas. The hotel was in the middle stages of major refurbishment while we was there but it did not affect the running of day to day events. The staff were proffesional and helpful amongst all the upheavell. A top recomendation to Harboro hotel. :)
Location and atmosphere
Room was roasting and was not made aware of the birthday party going on downstairs until 3am!
Great room, nicely refurbished, excellent bathroom, great central location, good beer.
It'll be great when the building work has finished later in 2014, but don't let that put you off.
Nothing too much trouble, staff very helpful.Good selection of food, beer and wines all at a reasonable price.
Room was nice ,clean. Everything as the brocheur said.
There was no air-con in the room except a ceiling fan. The weather was hot and although there was ample windows to open the noise meant out of the 4 nights I stayed I got one nights sleep. The room overlooked the Beer Garden, there was a Refrgeration/Air conditioning plant running all night. There was no sound proofing and you could hear someone elses TV going till 3:30am followed by them coughing. The hotel was being redecorated for which there was no professionolism one of the decorators knocking on the door and then walking in without invitation, just after a member of the hotel staff had already been to my room to asscertain the same information.
Fantastic hotel even though it's going through a renovation. Staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble
This place had everything I needed, it was under renovation at the time however this did not affect us, we had one of the newly decorated rooms and was very pleasant.
We enjoyed the Terrace bar and the modern room, although there is no Hot/Cold markings on the taps, and to get the shower temp correct proved troublesome.
The hotel is under going refurbishment which was not mentioned when we book through your site, although the room was very good with modern fittings and hall ways and stairways were still in a plastered state. I understand the hotel is closing its doors for a couple of weeks to enable the refurbishment to be completed.
Newly refurbished room.
Entirely spoilt by threatening behaviour of local drinkers who's actions appeared to be encouraged by staff.
i got a newly refurbished room which was lovely but poor finish if I'm being really picky
half the hotel is in pieces room markings not great breakfast a little overpriced for the quality of it
