Beautiful house, spacious room, super kingside bed! Warm welcome from lovely hosts Jane and Chris - very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about local area. Delicious breakfast!
I would certainly recommend this B&B to anyone staying in Drymen. It really was a lovely place to stay after 10 hours of cycling in the pouring rain. Chris met me with a broad smile on his face and a warm handshake - this is what really makes this place a great stopover. The room was spacious and very cosy; radiator was already on when I arrived and the shower was very hot! However, it is the friendliness of Chris and his wife that really make this place a great stay; very talkative and knowledgeable of the local area. The breakfast was very tasty and lots of it. There is also a utility room for you to dry wet clothes and walking boots as well as a lounge for guests to enjoy.
N/A - except for arriving too late to explore the local area
We really enjoyed our stay here. The facilities were excellent (best night's sleep I've had since arriving in the UK two weeks ago!) and the hosts were absolutely lovely, great to chat to and really knowledgeable about the area and places to visit. The room was spotless and the location great.
Owners are very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.
Very friendly manager, the accommodation itself which allowed for privacy (as cousins, one male, one female, we had booked a twin room) and the little hamlet/village in which The Hawthorns is situated.
The owner came out as soon as we had parked to greet us and show us around. The breakfast was delicious and the service warm and genuine. The wi-fi had great signal strength. Would definitely recommend!
This is in a very small town, so there is not much to do besides grab dinner and drinks. But it's very peaceful if that's what you're looking for.
Frindly people. Good breakfast.
Difficult to find the hotel as the sign is not very obvious.
Excellent service and value for money. Staff very friendly and were able to help with any queries, also great local knowledge. Breakfast was a good quality and nice selection to choose from. Would stay there again if I'm back in Drymen.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hawthorns. Jane and Chris were great hosts - very friendly and knowledgeable about the area with great recommendations. Our rooms were well set out, lovely and clean with plenty of room for us and our daughters. Great breakfast.
It was the first night of our family's walk on the West Highland Way. What I really liked was meeting the owners and their son and feeling like we were staying in an extension of their home. Best breakfast on the walk!!!
Everything Especially breakfast and friendly people
Very friendly welcome, great rooms and delicious breakfast. It was one of the best B & B's we stayed at our tour around Scotland.
Stayed for one night on the to the . ,islandes...BB located in charming village, charming owners that helped with anything we had in mind. Very nice and clean room.
A massive 'thank you for having us'! We were made to feel so welcome....the room was huge with a separate area which was ideal for our teenage daughter. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was sensational. This place is a must for anyone wanting to stay in Drymen.
The Hawthorns owners are very friendly and their B&B feels like home. Excellent choice for breakfast and very well located at the heart if drymen a cute village. Stay there on Thursday's to enjoy a bagpipe show.
Great location, comfortable room, superb hearty breakfast, free parking, good wifi connection, very friendly hosts.
There is nothing to dislike - this really is a fantastic B&B!
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, central location.
Easy to find. Pleasant welcome from the owner.
For the price we paid (£90 for one night for a twin room) I would have expected more than a room so small that it would have been barely adequate for one person. The twin beds were so narrow that I actually fell out of mine. The shower needed instructions and the owners were not available to help at 6.30 p.m either at the property or by phone or text. Another guest helped us with the problem. This was an overpriced and very disappointing stay.
Quite large room (it sleeps up to four) and a bathroom that (unlike at some other accomodations) does not induce claustrophobia in the user. Very friendly and helpful owners. Above average breakfast.
On that Friday, there was annoying (live?) music at some nearby location which forced me to keep the windows shut at night. A desk would have been nice.
Welcoming and comfortable. Great to have use of a sitting room. The village is lovely.
The warm welcome from the owners, super rooms and a great breakfast. Felt very relaxed and homely.
Couldn't be bettered!
Excellent B & B . Good nights sleep, with a hearty breakfast.
Friendly people and a warm welcome, Good location, Lovely breakfast.
