Friendliness & willingness of staff, whilst being professional.A rather limited but very varied & good menu. A good selection of real ales. Needs some refurbishing, especially the downstairs carpet which is badly worn. |

It was a great little hotel with excellent friendly staff. The food was good, the room was splendid. Just that the full English breakfast had a bit too much oil.. haha.. |

The accommodation was very good and the food was good. It was very clean and adequate for one night. The owners were very nice too. It was being renovated and after the evening meal the bar was closed. I asked if after we explored the area we would be able to have a relaxing drink. The bar was closed after the meal. As I had booked specifially for the real ales and atmosphere we had to go to bed at 9.30pm. I would not have booked there if i had known as it was in the middle of nowhere and could not have gone anywhere else. |

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Excellent choice and quality of food and drink with a particularly good English breakfast. A little annoyance was in arriving at 5 pm, the doors did not open until 6pm, had to wait in carpark. |
