1 member of staff made an effort with my son in the morning at breakfast time as there wasn't anything he wanted and eventually got him something which was good.
The lift was an old lift and tiny, 1 person and 1 bag maybe 2 depending on the size would fit in this and you had to keep shuting 2 doors before it would move and when you came out for other people or they couldn't use it. Not good if someone has a disability. The stairs were very steep so not great either going up and down especially with young children or any1 with walking difficulties who can't get the lift as it's too small or scared to use it. Our room had a good view but was freezing, the heaters didn't heat up, only the pipes at the bottom for some reason, we had an extra heater already in the room and one leg was broken so you couldn't move it. Only 1 small wardrobe and 3 small drawers for 3 people in a small room so not much space either but the beds were comfy lol. The bathroom shower constantly dripped - but positive spin - the bathroom had a new heater in it which worked lol and towels were changed every day. If you wanted dinner in the hotel this is only served for half an hour which is a bit rediculous as the hotel is a bit away from everywhere this means you then need to to back out if you miss it as you won't get anything after that point.
Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was good and food excellent.
Thin curtains in room meant it was really light and made it very difficult to sleep.
The friendliness of the staff, the excellent manner that they looked after all the guests and their help when required. The quality of the food was excellent and the dining room top quality.
the staff were great, the food was lovely
the shower was not powerful enough if you turned it up it went cold and everytime i washed my face my eyes went blood shot must be something to do with the water because the tea in the room tasted horrible
staff.food,welcoming and homely
A lot to keep kids entertained, especially the playstations! Very friendly and helpful staff.. Very good stay :)
Excellent breakfast. Bar and snooker / pool / darts great for when weather is poor. Family wouldnt use lift as its an old cage type and very old and small.
Very dated with old fixtures and fittings some mismatched taps etc. Old 70s carpets and curtains and wallpaper. Windows a bit draughty and dirty. Windowsills peeling. Showers lukewarm only. This hotel needs a lot of money spent to get up to modern standards.
Excellent sea view from room and dining room. Breakfast first class. Cooked breakfast was piping hot served on hot plates. Staff very friendly and helpful
Décor in rooms a bit dated but this is common with many of the older hotels in Blackpool
Cleanliness, Location. Staff.
Comfortable, with lift for access for elderly father.Close to beach, but outside the noisier, holiday fun area
The staff were very friendly and always on hand to help. The room was a good size and clean even the cleaning staff were very friendly. Will definitely be returning to the headlands
Food very good
Promised wifi in all rooms i had to come down to the bar to use it. Windows ae not draught proof curtains were moving when the windows were tight shut very poor
the staff were very friendly, the meals were very varied and good quality
could have had a bit more entertaining
great staff good breakfast easy access to tram but far enough away to be quiet at night
we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay, its in close range to everything we went for, basically everything on our door step, with a lovely hotel with friendly staff on hand, as a young couple, we loved every minute of our stay at The Headland and will be returning.
Peaceful area despite being on a main road.Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel to have a good undisturbed nights sleep..
Nothing to dislke really, good value for money all round.
food location staff
toilet not working properly taps wouldn't switch off
friendly staff good value great breakfast
hotels next to headlands shut and need tidying up
In a quiet area. Helpful and cheery staff. Handy for tram. Near terminus so always get a seat. Very clean. Breakfast was delicious and piping hot.
Area surrounding hotel is very run down. Adjoining buildings are empty and one has had a serious fire. No shop within walking distance eg to get newspaper or snacks. Entrance to hotel very uneven. I fell one evening due to potholes. Ancient lift. Booked 2 single rooms. Was given 1 small double and 1 very small single. Very steep stairs.
Love the location, away from the noise. Allows you to enjoy the sights and sounds but escape when you need to. Great staff. Very child friendly. Good food. Wifi, a must these days. Free parking onside.
Only minus was dirty windows but we were in a family room at top of hotel so how you would get to those windows is beyond me.
Staff were brilliant coundnt do enough for us. Good value for money food was great hotel was very clean through out. Would book The Headlands again.
They were able to provide gluten free toast and sausages with breakfast for my son. Also the staff were happy to let us use the drying room when we arrived back soaked from the rain! Free parking available. Short walk to Pleasure Beach entrance.
Family room nice and big , heating on constant ! , staff friendly , good parking facilities , toddler loved pool table and games room , location great , perfect breakfast gorgeous !!!
Mattress on double bed in our family room is definitely ready to replace at window side !!!!
Wide choice at breakfast Good choice of evening meal menu Plenty of power points in bedroom
Couldn't adjust temperature in the room Bath towels on the small side No extractor fan or opening window in the bathroom Poor choice of ales in the bar
