the staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. Having stayed here on a number of occasions over the past 25 years the quality of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff have not dropped their standards and look forward to a return visit in November. the shower went cold due to shortage of hot water, a minor complaint but one we needed to answer honestly.

Helpful and friendly staff. Nice view of the sea. Decor very dated and cheaply done; tiny lifts which hardly accommodated luggage; uncomfortable beds; not suitable for younger people with children as the guests were 90% pensioners.

Location Grubby, smelly and very noisy. I hardly got any sleep during the two night stay. I had to call the main hotel landline at 2am to ask someone to deal with the noisy guests. Needs a massive facelift

Again, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the food excellent. It was an easy walk from the Pleasure Beach area (for illuminated Tram Tours), which is useful on a busy illuminations evening, when the trams to Starr Gate tend to become full. Nice and warm in the bedroom during a rather cold spell. The staff were very considerate when, on the last day, I was unwell. The manageress kindly allowed me to order water and jiuces for the bedroom and brought them up to me - this helped me get back on my feet for the journey home the next morning. Not only is the Headlands an excellent place to enjoy a break in Blackpool but also an ideal place to recuperate if unfortunate enough to be poorly on holiday - a real home from home. No complaints at all. Only a pity I wasn't well enough at the end to enjoy the food.

Dogs allowed. A very old and tired hotel. Little evidence of investment/refurbishment. The shower broke in one of our three rooms, so the family in that room were unable to shower that morning. A large portion of the floorboards creaked when walked on. The floorboards creaked even when we turned over in bed.

The accessibility of all of the local ammenities. There was no shower in the bathroom. We were only able to book a twin room (very last minute ) and we hoped to be able to push the beds together. Unfortunely the beds were of differing heights!so this made for a fun night!!!!!

We were well received, made most welcome and the staff were very good indeed. The meals were varied and excellent. The only problem we had was getting to sleep because we are not used to such a heavy duvet, but that is not the fault of the hotel, we are used to a very light one.
