Great value, excellent location, friendly staff and great breakfast
A bit dated and creaky floorboards, but it doesn't matter you are not buying the place.
Free parking Friendly Staff Good breakfast
The location is at the quiet end of the "strip" but with a tram stop just across the road, it's perfect for those who don't want to be in the midst of all the noise etc. The food is good English fare, well cooked, served hot and with good helpings. Breakfast in particular was very good. The staff were friendly and efficient. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom and a comfortable clean bed. What more could anyone ask for in a reasonably priced hotel!
The towels could be a tad larger. There was only 1 bar of soap in the bathroom. There was however a shower jel by the bath but as in so many other hotels way to high to reach when sitting in the bath tub!
Good comfortable hotel, in what we found was a good quiet location opposite the stops for the tram and buses.Breakfasts were ample just right to set you up for the day, and plenty of parking right outside the hotel.
No reception on TV in room But not a problem used wi fi
Lovely friendly staff. Nice walk to the tower. Close enough to amenities but not in the thick of things. Good breakfast. Easy parking on site. Clean and comfortable. Lovely bed. Definitely going back.
Hotel could do with updating a little but didn't really detract from our stay.
Lovely hotel with superb staff and food. Nothing is too much trouble, from what you want/need for breakfast to anything else.Rooms are very clean and comfortable, all with sea views. Most of the visitors are returning clients,so that says a lot.
The hotel is a bit dated, but that's what gives it it's homely charm. There is nothing we don't like about The Headlands, and we will be returning there sometime next year.
staff ,helpful and pleasent
Excellent helpful friendly staff, excellent breakfast, good quiet location with good public transport links into town
Decore is a little tired and dated, lift is antiquated and tiny.
food was very good.staff very approachable and friendly.
room cleanliness. seemed to get a swift lick with some dirty areas ignored.the window frames in particular can't have been cleaned in months.
We recently stayed here and found this hotel to be very good value for money the food was good the staff were very pleasant and the family room we stayed in was comfortable and clean
difficult to find anything wrong
The management & staff were excellant The food & service were very good
The bed was a little uncomfortable & I was not able to turn off the radiator.
Everything, clean room, friendly staff, great breakfast, plenty for the kids to do if the weather wasn't great, tram stop across the road, pleasure beach 10 walk down the road nice and quiet and good view of the illuminations if you go that time of year!!
Great food and lovely staff
friendly staff, very good breakfast, clean, not to far to tram, good parking,
old fashioned lift
Very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the staff were very friendly and efficient!
Seal around the window of our room was old and was coming away from the frame. This caused a bit of an issue on one of our evenings as it was extremely windy. Due to the broken seal the wind was causing a very loud whistling sound to our room.
staff are very friendly and polite ,
probably the bathroom needs up grading to have a proper shower installed ,
The friendliness of staff I met, was outstanding.
Noise from the lounge entertainmenr prevented getting an early night! Dinner is only served between 6:00 and 6:30pm and is by pre-book only. Not good after a 6 hour drive from the Scottish highlands, arriving at 6:45! Room dated but comfortable. Bathroom hot tap constantly running (slowly) toilet pan cracked, and bathroom although in general functional could do with a bit of tlc.
The staff on arrival were fantastic. We arrived late due to traffic and missed the evening meal. The chef made food for us all which was above and beyond. All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. When I first walked in I thought it looked dated and was apprehensive but the kindness of the staff then the immaculate room put me at ease. It could do with modernisation but it was immaculate, the food was lovely, and the dining room with it's panelled walls was lovely. I would stay again if there was a turn on in the evening.
Comfortable, good food, value for money, easy access
1 member of staff made an effort with my son in the morning at breakfast time as there wasn't anything he wanted and eventually got him something which was good.
The lift was an old lift and tiny, 1 person and 1 bag maybe 2 depending on the size would fit in this and you had to keep shuting 2 doors before it would move and when you came out for other people or they couldn't use it. Not good if someone has a disability. The stairs were very steep so not great either going up and down especially with young children or any1 with walking difficulties who can't get the lift as it's too small or scared to use it. Our room had a good view but was freezing, the heaters didn't heat up, only the pipes at the bottom for some reason, we had an extra heater already in the room and one leg was broken so you couldn't move it. Only 1 small wardrobe and 3 small drawers for 3 people in a small room so not much space either but the beds were comfy lol. The bathroom shower constantly dripped - but positive spin - the bathroom had a new heater in it which worked lol and towels were changed every day. If you wanted dinner in the hotel this is only served for half an hour which is a bit rediculous as the hotel is a bit away from everywhere this means you then need to to back out if you miss it as you won't get anything after that point.
Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was good and food excellent.
Thin curtains in room meant it was really light and made it very difficult to sleep.
The friendliness of the staff, the excellent manner that they looked after all the guests and their help when required. The quality of the food was excellent and the dining room top quality.
the staff were great, the food was lovely
the shower was not powerful enough if you turned it up it went cold and everytime i washed my face my eyes went blood shot must be something to do with the water because the tea in the room tasted horrible
