The heating in the bedroom with one radiator we couldn't adjust and another that seemed to cut out long before the room was warm. We were there on a cold night, so really felt the lack of warmth.
When we returned from our evening out, there was no street lighting and it was difficult to see our way from the car park at the back to the main entrance, as there was no lighting.
When we went down for breakfast, the tables were on the opposite side to the usual dining tables, which were situated near a lovely open fire in the evening, when it was lit and welcoming, but was not lit and too far away anyway in the morning, so we were freezing through breakfast.
We wanted to make an early start, but could not get breakfast before 8.30, even though we asked if that was possible. We hadn't known, or perhaps had missed it on the information, that Sundays meant a later breakfast time than other days.
There were no healthy cereals for breakfast.
I would have felt cheated if I'd paid the full price for the room.
Also, the room was a good size and the TV was good.
The bathroom was warm, with toiletries provided.
