Just 1700 ft from Torquay Seafront, Derwent Hotel is part of an impressive resort with a luxury spa, nightly entertainment and family-friendly accommodations. There is also a gym and fitness center.
Score from 615 reviews Very good
On the Torbay seafront, the 4-star Grand Hotel has an AA Rosette-winning restaurant and a gym, with majestic views of the bay.
Score from 941 reviews Very good
This superior 2-star hotel is in the heart of Torquay, just a short walk from the seafront and right next to the English Riviera Conference Center.
Score from 745 reviews Very good
Superbly located near Torquay Harbour, Premier Inn Torquay is a short walk from Torquay Train Station and central Torquay. The Riviera International Conference Centre is also nearby.
Score from 265 reviews Very good
A good tidy quality hotel, on the edge of the town with a 10min walk along the front to the centre, or a shorter walk up the back to the top of the main shopping centre. I had a superb room with floor to ceiling windows looking over the bay. I didn’t eat in other than the continental breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful when approached but not over fussing. It had a good bar area attached which catered for local events such as birthdays, receptions and the like, dress being smart casual. Prices of drinks were good for an average pub let alone a hotel. This is a very nice place to stay, and good value for money, at this time of year. I would stay again if the price was good.
A continental breakfast is provided which is very limited in choice but OK. On offer for additional payment is what you may say a proper cooked breakfast. Wifi inthe bar area is at times rather weak.
Fabulous location, and views. The staff were friendly, rooms clean and well presented.
Unfortunately our room was next to the bar, and there was a Saturday night function on, which kept us awake.
The wifi was excellent not just in the public areas, but the bedrooms too. Very nice staff and great location.
The hotel can get very noisy at night as they do a lot of parties, and the music doesn't stop till midnight, so if you have young children, think about that. I was under the impression that we would get a cooked breakfast in the price but just received a continental one, which was nice anyway, you had the option to buy the cooked breakfast if you wished.
Location is good close to beach and a ten minute walk to the town centre.
Last time we stayed breakfast was continental and cooked, however now if you want cooked you pay extra and personally I think overpriced.Garden room (car park) was a squeeze for 2 let alone 3 people. Will not return.
Bar area was very inviting
Staff were lovely & helpful, the continental included breakfast was more than enough with a good choice. If you wanted the cooked the cost was reasonable & freshly made.
Not a bad experience but the floor boards were noisy and you could hear the people above all through the night, will ask for a top floor next time.
lovlely view happy staff
Location was very good
Would have been nice to sit in a quite bar to relax after a busy day out. But only had one bar and was very loud and full of youngsters
The location was the best thing about this hotel. A 5 minute walk along the seafront and you are in Torquay town centre.
The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows hard. The wifi only worked in the bar. The inclusive breakfast was only continental and a poor one at that attended by surly staff.
Good size room. Sea view. Excellent bathroom.
Breakfast was included but we were only allowed a cooked breakfast on one day only as a continental breakfast is now included in the cost of the stay( since January) but when I booked a full breakfast was included in the cost, the manager decided we could have one days full English breakfast. Also car parking not very good as car park also used for the non residents that used the Applebys bar.so full most evenings.
Lovely hotel with sea view nothing to fault
Thought cooked breakfast was included
Beds a bit too hard
lovely staff, helpful and ever eager to provide a good service
Lovely food, rooms very comfortable and beautiful sea view, onky draw back was included breakfast is only continental not cooked.
Nothing to dislike
Location and staff
view was lovely stylish bathroom simple but effected
décor could do with a revamp bath would have been nice
Close to the town and restaurants and for exploring the area. Some of the rooms have better sea views than others. Bar and restaurant Staff were very helpful and the room was kept clean.Great place to watch football with the large screens.
Disappointed that the pool wasnt available all the time , the sauna didnt work and had to pay £2.50 each to use these facilities when it was advertised outside free use to residents. When I questioned this I was told that the charge is £2.50 and the sign was covered up previously. Also the cooked breakfast was £5.95 a bit expensive but it was small but tasty.
View of bay from bedroom window was beautiful. Easy and quick access to beach and harbour
Good sized car park good view from flat
Having to pay extra for breakfast. Bed and breakfast should be just that. The "continental" breakfast is NOT a Continental breakfast it is cereal, and toast with an apple thrown in for good measure.
Friendly staff, clean rooms and great food. We had a great time
Excellent value for money.
Nice stay in a hotel where food and accomodation were really good.
The location of our room and sea view
The room was cold, didn't get very warm all night The bed was harder than we were used to, still cold with small duvet
Was expecting cooked breakfast in mornings as when booked breakfast was included but was told on arrival a charge would be made for cooked breakfast we could however have serials and toast bit of a letdown
the location is ideal, great sea view from our room. Plenty of choice at for breakfast, great staff.
