The location was very convenient for visiting family nearby. The Hermitage its self was very tired and in need of a major up date. The room we occupied was austere and lacked comfort.

Great location near centre of town, lovely old building, and with Christmas decorations up looked very Dickensian. Very attentive Kim. Only comment is radiator coming away from wall in shower room.

We received a very friendly reception when we arrived at the B & B, and the following morning Derek was extremely helpful when we tried to book a taxi.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Room furniture basic but comfortable enough. Kettle in room was a bit odd - didn't have auto switch off. Television reception in room was awful due to internal aerial.

We were greeted warmly by the hotel staff. The room was excellent and very clean. The breakfast was very nicely cooked and the choice of food was excellent. Lack of on site parking. Although advertised with parking facilities there was no on site car park which was mainly the reason we booked this particular hotel, so that was disappointing.
