the location and quality of the hotel and its staff were fantastic

Everything! Good quality towels and fantastic hospitality tray topped up each day. Relaxing ambience and appreciated the request not to use mobile phones in lounge and restaurant. Can't remember relaxing so quickly anywhere else-thank you for a brilliant stay!

A hook on bedroom door for coats would be useful. Ours didn't fit in the wardrobe so had to use the chair instead. Pastries at breakfast on Saturday were lovely so I forwent the cooked breakfast on Sunday to leave room for the pasties, however they didn't materialise! Seriously though it was so fantastic I only mention the above because I was asked-they are not a complaint in any way.

The hideaway is a perfect for all age of couples . The staff and service couldnt of been better.

The food was truly outstanding. The staff and owners could not have been more friendly or helpful. Tea and cake in the afternoon was a great touch. The hotel is handy for the village/town and some wonderful walks. They stock the local "Bluebird" beer.

Room 2 could have been a little larger but we would try for room 10 the next time.

The location was excellent with Bowness just a walk away. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. We had a very comfortable stay in a lovely building and enjoyed the beautiful gardens when it didn't rain. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and there was a good choice available too. Would definitely return.

The staff were friendly and polite. The hotel was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was great and the service quick. The bed was comfortable. we enjoyed the afternoon tea and cake.

I'm not sure why it was 4 star - apart from good service (which is expected even in a no-star hotel), there weren't a lot of facilties. Therefore i found it expensive and not value for money

Very lovely British cottage, nice stuff, delicious food

We stayed in one of the rooms that had not had a make over as of yet, but it was still very nice. We had the added treat of coffee and cake in the afternoon which was unexpected, but a lovely addition to our stay. All the staff were very friendly and they maintained a high standard of cleanliness to the hotel. I would go again, my partner and I enjoyed it very much. It was on a quiet street rather than the main road, so noise levels were very low.

Just had 1 night at The Hideaway really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend the hotel but its quite a walk to Bowness.

The first thing is position just close to village of Windermere but far away from confusion and noise-car way. The second thing that I appreciate a lot was the staff very friendly and useful.

Room lovely - everything you need! Great breakfasts - highly recommend the scrambled egg and black pudding. Loved the additional touch of the tea and cake in the afternoon. Definitely go for dinner - lovely food, drinks and atmosphere. Staff were great - very attentive, professional and friendly.. Really want to go back!

L'hôte et l'hôtesse sont très sympa. La décoration dans la chambre est très bien. Situé à l'ouest, nous pouvons regarde le coucher du soleil dans chez nous.

到着が16時近くだったが、歓迎のティータイムにコーヒーか紅茶と手作りチョコレートケーキを勧められた。- イギリスのスイーツは一般的に甘いので娘と半分づつ食べようと1個頂いたら抜群に美味しかった。 部屋もきれいで、洗面所は水洗金具にドイツの名品・グローエが使われており、こだわりを感じた。 ダイニングルームなどの部屋の壁紙やカーテンのセンスは抜群。スタッフも感じ良く、朝食に何度もパンや飲み- 物のお代りをすすめられた。

古くからの自然がある、落ち着いたすてきなところでした。ホテルスタッフの方の対応は丁寧で、親切でした。- 二泊しましたが、また泊まってみたいと思いま- す。ありがとうございました。 kaibarashigeki

評判どおり、とても素敵な時間をすごせました。到着してすぐのアフタヌーンティ、清潔で、かわいい部屋、オ- ーナーの気配り、おいしいフルイングリッシュブレックファーストすべて大満足でした。
