Looking out at the sea in dining room
Completely run down state of hotel, drafty windows, needs a lot of updating could be a lovely hotel then
We were made to feel welcome when we arrived and overall service was very good for a hotel of this type. The view from our room was fantastic and an added bonus.
No complaints! It would have been nice if the there had been a range of breakfast price options, rather than just the one. But it was good value anyway.
The view was amazing, the breakfast was good the staff was very helpful
stairs need more light and a lift is needed if you are on the top floor
Great sea views
The hotel tries its best but could do with a major renovation
Good value, comfortable room, nice view
seaview from the room, spacious room
it was really cold in the room. we had to heat it with a gadget which we found in the wardrobe. it was really cold to take a shower. linen looked as if someone had already slept in it. the bed easily moved by itself around the room. staff wasn't really friendly maybe because we are foreigners. i wouldn't recommend it.
Staff were lovely, room was clean and cosy yet spacious. A quiet area which was lovely. I'd recommend!
Shower was not very powerful and took a while to warm up
Position and sea view. V friendly staff. Nice big room for price.
lovely location, dog friendly, comfy beds and a great breakfast.
No Heating Cold & Dripping Shower Toilet area stunk of fish from kitchen No very well greeted by reception Unable to get a phone reception
Location was perfect for us. It was great value for money. Wonderful views over towards Wales. Easy parking. Clean and tidy. Super breakfast - including gluten free toast - thank you!
The whole hotel would benefit from a refurbishment - it was a little tired and the décor was a bit 1970s still.
The views were amazing. And the staff were very helpful.
Couldn't get a phone reception.
The staff was pleasant and the bar was nicely set out,tv area and a quiet area for conservation
Didn't get told when checked in what the meal times were
Room did have an ensuite.
Room was cold, we had to contact reception twice and get a portable heater in until central heating fixed. Pillows were so flat and thin, bed was hard and lumpy and kept rolling away when we sat on it. We managed about 3 hours sleep. Will never recommend this hotel. We had requested soy milk for breakfast but they did not get it in. Also we had to climb stairs up to the second floor - not nice when carrying a suitcase.
The location, the room, the breakfast and parking
Nothing I would not recommend this hotel to anyone particularly a lone female traveller
An extremely rude member of staff on arrival after a long journey Filthy room and bathroom Dangerous electrical sockets Dangerous window fill heights
Parking, View from public balcony, breakfast.
Poor mattress. Very noisy floorboards outside room. Poor lighting in room. You need to be a contortionist to switch on bedside lamps. Carpet stains.
View overlooking the water, Breakfast, and the little tubs of Marmite. Nice touch on leaving, when I was presented with a packet full of of the said little tubs by a friendly and bubbly .receptionist. Jeff Hickling
Quite pricey in comparison with another Hotel in Newquay I had stayed in, which had two swimming pools, a fitness suite, and an excellent evening dinner. No dinner was available that evening which was a disappointment.
Breakfast was good.
The doors were being locked at 22.30pm and we had a call at 22.00 to remind us. The wallpaper was pealing off the wall and the door needed a shoulder push in order to open it. The general feel was that the place would benefit of being redecorated and updated. At £60.00 for 1 night it didn't feel like a good deal.
Friendly staff, and the size of the room. the beds were very comfortable with lovely white cotton sheets and pillowcases and the towels were white and fluffy. With a bit of money spent on this hotel it would be excellent. Good breakfast with good choice and beautiful freshly brewed coffee.
The room was not that clean as the " nosey parker" on the vacuum cleaner had obviously not been used round the beds or chest of drawers. Bathroom definitely needs updating!.
Location was very good overlooking the Bristol Channel.
Hotel very tired and in need of a makeover. Beds uncomfortable, shower head broken.
very obliging friendly staff. Food inexpensive, good plain fare Beautiful patio over looking sea, Very relaxed atmosphere, home from home. Wi-fi available, reasonable parking space, gets full later in evening but other parking nearby streets.
Decor! also carpet in bathroom which didn't seem to be hoovered every day. Bar has limited range of non alcoholic drinks, but is relaxed about bringing your own alternatives.
