The Garden The Food was exceptional The Décor was very tasteful The hosts were helpful and friendly
NOTHING - To us everything was perfect
The place had a real luxurious feel to it. The owner is lovely and gives the place a real personal touch.
Our room and bathroom was very small. Location is very convenient to get to (just off the main A road), but it's quite a distance from the nearest town.
Very pretty and well appointed room with a good shower-room. Great pub with excellent food nearby.
Very comfortable base for exploring The Lakes. Excellent hosting, breakfast etc. Would definitely make a return visit.
We had a wonderful and memorable time staying here. Our host, Jo-Anne & Gerry, is a very friendly and helpful couple. The rooms and environment is very pleasant. Each individual rooms were decorated according to the theme. They make a lot of effort to decorate the place and rooms in details until the color of toilet papers matches the room theme. The breakfast is served generously. We enjoyed our daily English breakfast.
Small entrance. Difficult to locate during the night.
We were made to feel very welcome from the start. Room was very clean and comfortable overlooking the lovely front garden. The back garden is lovely to relax in too. Breakfast couldn't have been any better with lots to choose from. I travelled with my 21 year old daughter so the ipod dock in the room was most welcome. All in all it was pretty much perfect thanks to Anne and Gerry.
Lovely countryside for evening walk Delicious breakfast Charming hosts
Good location, good breakfast, and a nice lady running the place
Lovely welcome Awesome breakfast Eco toiletries in bathroom were fab
one of the best b & b,s I have stayed in. Perfect hosts. Lovely room. Super breakfast.
It is the best B&B I've ever stayed in the UK. The landlady, Jo-Anne, gave me much information about the Lake District. She tried to get me talking so I think my English speaking improved there. The bed in the room was the size of my place in Seoul. Room was beautiful and ensuite. Most things-tea bags, shampoo, perfume, etc,.were made in the Lake District. Handbaked cookies were nice. Had many choices of breakfast and the breakfast was the most delicious among UK foods, according to my tongue. Easily accesed by bus from Lake District cities.
Absolutly nothing. Even the weather was good. Definitely will visit again.
Easy acces for travel either by car or public transport. Excellent breakfast.
Nice room, wholesome home made breakfast
Lovely welcome;amazing breakfast;beautiful room. Definitely want to get back there!
Everything was perfect!
The whole stay was totally enjoyable, from the very friendly owners to a comfortable well appointed room and excellent breakfast. Lovely garden to sit in and relax. Close to award winning pub.
The owner couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. The room was great and just what I needed. The breakfast choice was excellent for somewhere with so few rooms and the food was freshly made, hot and delicious. I would definitely stay again.
Very friendly had a lovely stay home from home would stay here again
Nothing all good
Just about everything. The landlady was very chatty and friendly.
The weather wasn't great, and the fact that I left my umbrella on the no. 555 and no-one handed it in!
My husband and I traveled with his mum and aunt; his mum and aunt had the most fitting room overlooking the beautiful gardens. My husband and I also had a very lovely, comfortable room for the evening. I don't think I have ever slept in a more comfortable bed! Breakfast was lovely and so were our hosts, Gerry and Joanne. Gerry kindly shared his knowledge of the most scenic drives for us to take on our onwards journey to Scotland and Joanne shared her knowledge of Beatrix Potter with our mum and aunt. we were also fortunate to sit and enjoy a cup of tea in the lovely gardens before the rain came down. A truly magnificent stay and we look forward to being able to return just as a couple some time. Oh, not to forget to mention the most delicious home made jam and marmalade at breakfast!
This location and accommodation offered everything we wanted, so no comment to offer. In the interest of offering an objective view, some may find the main road to busy, although this did not bother us. Others may feel it is too far to walk to Windermere, but it really is a very short drive away.
Breakfast was great! Comfy bed!
comfortable bed, lovely and soft duvet cover, delicious local produced breakfast, amenable and friendly staff, Characterful and grand house.
very loud plumbing, weak shower, isolated, small double bed.
