Location, food, quietness

Everything - very clean and comfortable with lovely toiletries. Joanne and Jerry were great hosts - on hand for questions and chat but not intrusive. Joanne did us a lovely breakfast - not at all fased by another guest who happened to be a vegan and Jerry gave us a history lesson of the local area and told us about walks that we were planning to do.

The bed was slightly soft but everything else was well thought out and perfect - nothing wanting at all.

Beautiful, well maintained building and garden. Very clean, comfortable and cosy.the people were warm and wonderfully friendly and helpful.

Lovely owners were very accommodating. Room was very clean and very smart. Felt more like a posh hotel than your regular b&b. Awesome location with a great pub over the road. Bed was extremely comfy which was what I needed after cycling 140 miles. They even let me leave my expensive bike inside the house even though I doubt there is much bike theft in the area. I will definitely visit again!

Bed was so comfy that I did not want to get out of bed!

A very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Lovely bedroom, tastefully decorated, comfortable and thoughtful, with nice touches like locally produced, environmentally-friendly toiletries provided in the en-suite. The breakfasts were varied and delicious, and Jo-anne and Jerry, who run The Hill were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area, which I found really helpful.

The b&b was just perfect. Very nice and helpful owner. The first night of arrival, hostess provided us lots of information about transportation and attractions. If she didn't tell us about the torch relay at Bowness, we definitely were going to miss the chance. The breakfast was really nice. There is a nice garden just outside, so when weather is good, just sit outside in the yard would be nice. Room was clean and nicely maintained. You can see from details that the hosts are really making a great effort to make guests' stay enjoyable. Highly recommend!

It's a bit far from the windermere station. But the good side is there is a bus stop right outside the Hill. The bus is not very frequent, only once per hour. So plan your ahead.

Cramped bathroom for a 6ft+ man like me.

The Hill is an excellent inn.Jerry and Joan are very nice,helpful.The food are also delicious here.Moreover, Joan's cookies are superb.I had fantastic experience in here.I highly recommend this lovely inn in Lake District.

The Hill is a very friendly and intimate hotel which was perfect for our short visit with family. Its location suited us enormously just being close enough to the main lakes. Enjoyable stay and no complaints at all. Would stay again.

Close to Windermere - only 5 mins by car and a local bus service stops on the main road outside.Good brewery pub/restaurant just across the road.Very comfortable guest house with friendly and hospitable owners.A good hearty breakfast with which to start the day

Comfortable and clean room and throughout. Parking available. Nicely cooked breakfast with a good choice. Owners make you feel very welcome and are very helpful.

The Hill is a very welcoming and an easy place to stay. The hosts, Joanne and Gerry are excellent at what they do, and ensure guests are well served. The breakfast was very good indeed. The facilities are clean, comfortable and relaxing, within a lovely setting and also easily accessible.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would do so again if we travel to the Lakes.

I stayed here by myself. But orner of The hill are very kind and breakfast made by her was fantastic. I'm from Japan, but if possible, I want to come again.

ウィンダミアから車でさほど遠くないところにあり、通りを隔てて歩ける距離には、地ビールを提供しているパ- ブもあり、車さえあれば、立地的には申し分ないと思います。 オーナーもとてもフレンドリーで、旅先等についてアドバイスを色々としてくれます。朝食も一つのテーブルを- 他のお客さん達と一緒に囲む形ですが、とてもおいしかったです。

少々部屋が狭いのと、シャワーの水量が少なく、水がちょろちょろと出ている感が少し残念でした。２回目以降- からの滞在は値段が大分安くなるようです。

庭が綺麗で、部屋もとても綺麗でした。

Beds were very comfortable. Made to feel very welcome. Lovely lounge for relaxing in.

Quite a lot of traffic noise when the window was open (hotel is set back, but on a busy road, and our room was at the front - rooms at the back are probably quieter).

Friendly and welcoming hosts, gorgeously decorated rooms with lovely welcoming touches and cosy furnishings. Wonderful breakfasts!
