The bed was amazing with a nice duvet and its lovely and quiet, staff were very helpfull we really liked the bedroom and we would stay again but we would try the pent house suit this time as we liked the look of the bathroom we really didnt like our bathroom in the india suite.
The shower room really lets the india suite down its very small and the shower dosnt work properley very hot and cold, its very dated and needs an uplift i dont think its worth £110 with that shower room. Also the breakfast is far to early and would be nice for a later check out as its a weekend.
Martyn and Elaine were wonderful and made us very welcome.
Parking a bit awkward, but find this a lot in Torquay!
Found the breakfast on the small side
The hotel was nice and clean and the new Team where really friendly
The friendly hosts just started the business. The breakfast was very good and served in a nice dining room. Clean bed & towels. Spacious room.
The room was quite dusty. Hair on the carpet and in the shower.
Room size good and breakfast great
friendly welcome although the current owners had only been there a week and were going through a few glitches it didnt impact on my stay. Large room comfy bed Phone call to say I had left my tablet charger behind and it would be posted back to me!
very restricted parking although the Hillcroft is not alone in this and resident parking permits for the large church carpark opposite are being looked into. For a business person breakfast only being available from 08.30 to 09.15 is impractical but Elaine made me toast and tea at 8.00 and to be fair this is the legacy from the previous owners.
The new owners, made us feel very welcome. We had the Provence suite which had its separate spacious lounge, bedroom and themed bathroom. The hospitality tray which inc biscuits and bottled water every day..
nothing to dislike
nice people running a good quality b&b
Very helpful and friendly Lovely room Great breakfast Couldn't do enough for you Location
Everything you needed good choice of drinks in room comfotable accomodation. Karen and Stuart very helpful
Lovely bed linen friendly owners delicious breakfast beautiful room excellent value for money free wifi
No restaurant within hotel not much parking noisy seagulls
The owners were so friendly and helpful. We were offered some tasty cake and tea on our arrival. Beautiful room, very comfortable and clean. Close to town and some lovely walks nearby.
We stayed in the Provence Suite at the top of the house, it is very spacious and immaculate. The breakfast was very good and a good choice of options.
Breakfast is only served until 915, we find that much too early and similar establishments offer a much later timescale. Parking could be a problem as limited parking at hotel and most surrounding roads have yellow lines. We enjoy walking, if not so fit it is quite a steep walk up from the sea front.
Couldn't fault it in any way !
Nice People, Good Breakfasts, Comfortable Room
The owners were fantastic.the breakfast were very good
The steep climb back was tiring.
Nice hosts and great breakfast
The friendly manner and the facilities were excellent and the hotel wasin a very good location
Lovely hosts. Very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. Nice spacious house. We had the top floor suite which was a mini-apartment. Would definitely recommend
Would have liked a touch more 'boutique' style in the room
Very clean and comfortable rooms throughout, including the bar and breakfast room. Breakfast was very good with a great choice of foods to have as well as an in-room option. The location is great, a short but nice walk along the sea front to the main town area (where most of the restaurants and bars are) and again a short walk into the town centre. A great map is available which indicates great places to eat and drink as well as help you around the town from the house. Off road parking is available around the back but is limited and if your in a very low car or not very good at tight spaces you may struggle, but there is plenty of on-road (quite residential road) parking. A very friendly and nice place to stay, would go back again.
Very nice rooms with good sense of style Friendly service. Wonderfully comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom.
Described as a suite but really 3 separate rooms with access via a central hallway
Absolutely amazing. Me and my wife loved the hotel from the minute we walked indoors. Rooms, cleanliness, food and friendliness of the owners are faultless. Its like being at home in the posh bedroom and having personal room service. Owners advise the places to visit and even explain you how to get there. Highly recommended!
The welcoming and the nothing is to much for you attitude from Stuart and Karen. The comfortable and spacious bedrooms. The freshly prepared breakfast that set you up for your day.
